Fever Blisters...

DD has one on each corner of her mouth... she has a sinus infection... is there anything I can do to make them better or do they have to run their course?
Thanks!

bumping in case someone with experience can help.

Encourage your dd to eat more yogurt (with active enzymes). It won't make it go away right now, but it'll help prevent them from being more frequent. Take her to the dr so he can give her a prescription for it now if it's really bad. Acid foods like tomatoes, oranges will make it feel worse, too.

I hope she gets to feeling better soon.

Zovirax, by prescription, it works wonders.

Another vote for Zovirax and if they are really bad the Dr can give her an oral anti-viral too (can't remember the name) it will GREATLY reduce the lenght of the outbreak.

Use hot washcloths/compresses it will give her some relief too.

Good luck and I hope your daughter is better soon.
