I am 95% sure i am going to purchase a Maclaren Triumph to take for DD 2, our regular peg perego is just too bulky for Disney.

I like the options (sun shade, large basket underneath). Anyone else with this stroller? How do you like it.

So tell me about what stroller you bring to park, anything too bulky? How is it getting off and on disney transportation. ? Is there a great risk of being stolen?

Thanks

I took a Maclaren Volo & Quest with us in Dec. They were great. I noticed you mentioned a large basket, they do not have a large basket. In fact, if your dd sleeps in the stroller and reclines, you will have trouble getting things out of the basket. That being said, I wouldn't trade my Maclaren's. They maneuver so easily. They fold up compact and were easy to get on the busses with. I never had a problem leaving my strollers while we went in for a ride. You may want to tie a ribbon on your stroller, so that you can recognize it in a crowd of strollers. Maclarens are very popular. I would see a few that looked just like mine. Sometimes the CM do move them, but other than that I wouldn't worry about leaving the stroller.

First let me tell you your daughter is adorable! Cute pic with the bale of hay!

We took our Mac Triumph on our first trip with DS to WDW and have since bought and taken a "beefier" stroller. We now travel with our Peg Perego P3. What Peg model do you have? We find that the P3 is a perfect Disney stroller for us - GREAT sunshade, pretty good basket, not tippy when something is hanging from the handles when DS gets out, comfy recline for napping, a child tray for snacking, cupholder for mom and dad, umbrella fold so it is not too huge to tote around. My DS is 18 months old now and we do plan to use the Triumph again when he is bigger and hopping in and out all the time, but for the next couple of years we plan to use the Peg.

If you do decide to take your Triumph I'd recommend using a Ray Shade or something similar (Protect-a-Bub, etc) since the sun shade on the Triumph isn't super protective. I also like to add an ankle weight around the footrest (it can fold with it on there) so that it doesn't tip if you have something on the handles (we use a Skip Hop diaper bag).

HTH!

I was tossing between the Triumph and the Quest and after trying them both in the store, I went with the Quest.

I LOVE it. Wish I got it sooner. I have a 5 year old who wanders and she outgrew our last one.

I think it's easy to move, will hold her though 55lbs, has a basket, reclines, great canopy, came with a raincover, has cushioning, and love that it has a handle to carry it when closed.

I got it for $129. total online at www.albeebaby.com and don't regret it at all.

I bring our peg perego venezia we love it! our DD is 13 months and we have used this stroller on our last trip when she was 6 months old. It is a little bigger then a lightweight but drives great can recline all the way and has a huge basket. For us the basket and comfort level for our DD is what makes us choose this stroller. I almost forgot that the shade covers the whole stroller so there is no need to buy a special shade.

I have P3 and a Quest but will bring the P3 for our 3 year old in September. The Mac basket is so small and hard to use, and it is so tippy (must remove diaper bag BEFORE he gets out of the stroller each time - that doesn't work for us at Disney). Yes, it is lightweight for public transportation, but that's not what we're doing for hours every day. Plus, the P3 hood is so much bigger than the Mac hood; I wouldn't consider the Mac hood adequate for my fair-skinned DS in the FL sun.

When DS is walking most of the time, I'd gladly bring the Mac, but while he's still riding most of the time, the P3 is a much better Disney stroller for us.

But if you are going to spend the money, go for a Quest from www.albeebaby.com - better stroller for a better price than the Triumph.

I was taking my Maclaren Daytripper the last few trips. DD is now 6 and has outgrown it. I am sure going to miss that stroller!

We brought our Maclaren Twin Traveler in December -- LOVE that stroller and it has a pretty high weight limit so I'm hoping I can bring it again when we go next time.

I didn't use the brand or models mentioned earlier but mine was Evenflo 'rainforest' It cost less than $70 at Target and the seat reclines. The basket is very good sized and the seller for me is that it came with a mosquito net attached. The only downside is that it has the pastic wheels. But that trip alone we got our monies worth out of it. Now that it's going on 6 months old we're considering upgrading to a jogger, but it hasn't failed us yet. It's carrier plenty of gear and holds up really well. No one has ever taken it but we place a ribbon on it so we know it's ours.

Oct 2002 with just DD 3 1/2 at the time- MacLaren Daytripper worked great.

Jan 2004 with DD(4 1/2), DS(turned 3 on trip), DD(11 months) - MacLaren Twin-for older 2-I found it a bit bulky -especially on the parking lot tram. Also rented a comfy single stroller for DD 11 months from ABBF.

Oct 2004 with DD(5 1/2), DS(3 3/4), DD(21 months)- rented doubles in the parks for older 2-this worked very well for us and Peg Perego Pliko P3 for "baby". I really love that stroller-has a snack tray, great for naps, stands when folded, has a running board for older child (great for the trip back to the resort).

Upcoming plans:
August 2005 with just DS(4 1/2)-Maclaren Daytripper. This should work fine for him and it is lighter than the Peg.

October 2005 I'm going 2 nights early with DD (6 1/2) and will probably bring Mac Daytripper with me. DH, DS(4 3/4) and DD(2 3/4) and adult friend will come 2 days later and have Pliko. I'm hoping with these 2 strollers we won't have to rent too often.

I also have a Peg Perego P3. It has gone to WDW with us twice for our DS who is now 2.5yo. I love it!! For me it is the perfect stroller. It has a basket, cup holder, reclinable seat, water proof sunshade that covers the child completely when sitting up. It has the pedals in the back for my DD to ride on if she gets tired. It is comfy for my DS and it is easy to manuever. It folds up to me so no bending down to the floor to close it! It stands when folded and has a handle to carry it. We have no trouble at all getting on/off WDW transportation and do not find it to be bulky at all. When DS was a baby we even had the carseat that matched and fit into it. I loved it!! We have taken this stroller everywhere! It will be going to WDW again in Nov!
