Square foot area of half my roof and half the garage roof collecting rain is much greater than the square foot area of the pool.
All the rain hitting half the house and garage is collected into the downspout near the pool. Like I said, I tie an old pair of my wife's pantyhose to the end to filter anything coming off the roof.
