Tell me about your Garmin!

I am getting a small bonus at work (yay!) and am going to be investing a Garmin, but would like reviews on the good things and the bad things about the various models. What kind do you have - and what specific things made you choose it?

I have the Garmin 305. I bought it because it was the biggest bang for the buck. It's full featured. Will handle the heart rate monitor or foot pod. I bought mine a little over a year ago for $150 or so. I you watch it can be had for about $100. The one disadvantage some people have is it's size. The new ones are smaller. I don't mind the size though.

I am on my second 305. In another couple of years (most likely) when it dies, I will replace it with another one. I don't like the 405 - I like my larger display. The main drawback to the 305 has been the speakers - there are openings in the back for the speaker, and sweat can get in, which can destroy the speakers in a matter of months. I have mine covered with electrical tape, which I plan on doing from the outset next time.

I had a 205 which died (we thought). My husband bought me a 305 because 205 not available. Day the new Garmin was delivered, we had a miracle happen. the old 205 came back to life! I couldn't train without a Garmin. For me, the features are pretty much the same because I only use the average pace and the distance.
