Tell me about your cups

First timer here, heading the WDW in a couple months and trying to make decisions on the nitty gritty stuff.

We're planning on getting refillable mugs for meals at the resort but what do you take (if anything) into the parks each day? I hate carrying cold, wet paper cups in my hand so I want to transfer them into...something...but I don't know what? Our stainless steel Yetis seem too heavy and loud to carry around all day. Tervis tumblers? This shouldn't be so hard but I'm stumped and need advice from people who have been before.

(Any other park bag necessity tips would be appreciated! We'll be there from November 26th-December 3rd)

We use Brita sport bottles - I would prefer to carry one of my stainless steel ones because they keep things cold so much longer, but like you said, they're heavy. The sport bottles are lightweight and have the bonus of a filter built in, which gets rid of some of the bad taste. Generally, about 2 of the free cups they give out of ice water will fill it, and as long as there's ice, it stays cold long enough for us (usually we get a third cup to chug right there as well). It also fits easily in the side pocket of a backpack for easy access.

I have a Swell-style bottle which keeps drinks hot/cold as needed and isn't very heavy (this one, though it's not for sale). It's good size for the parks.

My DD carries her Swell bottle whenever we go anywhere. She carried it all around London and Boston on our last trips.

She never complained about having to carry it and never asked me to carry it for her. She was 23 in London and 25 in Boston. If/when I take her to WDW, I'm certain that she will carry it again.

Me, OTOH, carry my phone with a credit card holder on the back of it. That's all I need.

I second the Brita water bottle suggestion. You can keep the water cold using the free ice water, then top off with whatever tap water you can find. Filter removes the swamp from the water. I have a slight preference for the metal one since it seems to hold up better than the plastic. We also have a water carrier for it,
