Tell me about Yankee Candles

I like both the Yankee Candles and the Partylites. My favorite Yankee Candles are Hazlenut Coffee and Key Lime Pie. :sunny: St. Johnsbury Candles, another candle company, are very nice too. ::yes::

DD and I were just at Yankee Candle yesterday. I had a $10.00 off coupon...yippee for me. We were sniffing candles and got REALLY hungry with all of the good smells. DD's fav is pumpkin pie. Mine is Home Sweet Home or Ocean Water. I love so many different ones though. Peach, honeysuckle, cinnamon, hazelnut coffee, oh the choices are endless and they burn better than any other candle I have found. I try to get them on sale whenever possible. I also love the cute little shades and decorations they have to go with them. I am lucky because DH loves them too and has them already lit when I come home from work many days. I love to take the little travel candles with us when we go someplace. When we went on our cruise a few months ago I took the car freshener ocean water scent and hung in our stateroom. Worked great.

I LOVE Yankee Candle. If you're ever in the Springfield,MASS area on RT 91 go to the factory...its fantastic.

I put out different Yankee Candles for holidays and seasons. They have great Halloween candles, but my favorite candle was Birthday Cake, which they don't make anymore. It smelled EXACTLY like a birthday cake!

So, my new favorite is Chocolate Chip Cookie. If you light CCC with the Hazelnut Coffee candle, your kitchen will smell awesome.

What's all the fuss about this particular brand of candle? I read all about them on the CB, and before that I never heard of them. At this time in my life, with two small boys, I am not doing any kind of open flaming, but boy, you guys LOVE your Yankee Candles!!

Are they the kind that you buy from a "Tupperware" type party? Or is there a chain of stores? (I am assuming you can't get them at WalMart.)

Would love to hear what you like about them, your favorite flavors, etc. Educate me...

You can buy Yankee Candles at Hallmark, some of the collectibles stores, Bed-Bath-and Beyond, Linens 'n Things, and online.

If you order them online, and spend more than $50 which is not difficult for Yankee Candles, you get free shipping.

The fragrance list Yankee has is one of the largest I've ever seen. There is truly something for everyone.

Yankee Candle also has a large selection of candle accessories such as shades, plates, tart burners, votive holders, tea light holders, etc.

My favorite scents are Fireside (now discontinuted, but they'll bring it back), Patchouli, Witches Brew (black colored Patchouli candle0, Maple Walnut, Christmas Wreath, Home For The Holidays, and MistleToe.

No doubt some of the scents are much stronger than others. For instance, the Patchouli tart is much stronger than the Patchouli candle.

The votives are only $1.50/$1.60 each and the tarts are $1.25 (?) each. The big jar candles are expensive and cost about $20. Some of the scents are worth it, and some of the scents are so weak you might as well just burn the $20 bill for candle light.

Give them a try, but I'm warning you, they're addictive.

HTH.

I LOVE Yankee Candles!! Mmmmm! They smell so good. They are a bit pricey, but they burn much nicer than other brands. I've got my Pineapple Paradise candle burning right now! You can also find them at Hallmark, and sometimes some little stores that sell country decor also sell them.

I like Yankee Candles, but I'm a new convert to Gold Canyon Candles. Believe it or not, they burn even *better* than Yankees! And they smell wonderful, too. I never thought I'd think another brand would kick Yankee's butt, but these do.
