It wasn't there or we didn't notice when we went in 2003. We have the DDP, so not worried about cost. How is it decorated, is it fun, themed? Exciting? Is the food good? Any info would be great! I've never heard of this restaurant before.
We visited this restaurant last month and had the wok-fried green beans, Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp and the mango ice tea. We were very impressed with the food. Our server mentioned that this is a Landry Restaurant (they also have under their name, I believe, the Rainforest Cafe, the new dino restaurant at DTD, among others). We arrived at the restaurant without reservations around 1pm on a weekday and waited approx 10 minutes for a table. They have seating on both the first and second floors and we chose to eat on the second floor. Decor was in keeping with the area theme, and I believe the restaurant opened in 2007. I don't think you would be disappointed in having a meal here!

Well the theming is nice. it fits in nicely with the whole Tibet-like area surorunding Expedition Everest. But in our whole group of 15 people eating there, opinions ranged from "subpar" ro "terrible". DW and I in particular ordered two different chicken dishes, and they were really like "chicken nuggets" in sauce. Very dissapointing. ( But Sake selection was decent... )
We enjoyed it. It's definitely "Disney-fied" ethnic food--you can eat there even if you're picky--but the decor is interesting, and there are some really great dishes.

The food: we've tried it twice and will not be going back. Dishes we tried and did not care for (as many as I can remember): fried green beans, pho, ribs, lo mein, egg rolls (these were okay), sweet and sour, some sort of chicken salad.
I thought the themeing was subtle but nice, but I really really enjoyed the food. My hoisin BBQ ribs were incredibly meaty and SOOO good. I also REALLY enjoyed the cream cheese wonton dessert. YUM, I would not hesitate to go back here. My mom also loved it.
We ate there last summer and really enjoyed it. We sat on the second floor, which was quieter and more peaceful. We thought the food was really good. We loved the fried green beans. And the cream cheese wontons were excellent! I think it's definitely worth a try.
We ate there in March. I had the honey chicken for my meal and it was ok - nothing special about it. I also had the ahi tuna appetizer and that was pretty good. DH had the ribs and thought they were terrible. He hardly ate any of them. He also had the potstickers appetizer and they were ok. One of my DS's wouldn't eat anything. The other DS and my DD shared the lo mein. They said it was ok. We ended up getting food right after lunch for the kids and DH since they were still hungry. We won't eat there again.
