We were staying at the Poly lagoon view but to DH decided he wanted to try WL. WL only had concierge rooms left with the code for Sept. so we went ahead and went with it since it is still less than the room we had booked at the Poly and the food is so convenient with 2 little kids. We have never stayed at WL and I would love to know about their concierge. I do know from reading the boards that there is no lounge, but I was wondering about the food offerings, etc.

What can you tell me???? I'm excited to stay somewhere new!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

rather typical food offerings
breakfast was fruit/bagels/muffins/cereal/donuts (I think?) /juice/milk/tea/coffee

not sure what the 'mid day snack' was...I think trail mix and crackers

early evening was some appetizer from AP (usually was different each day), cheese/crackers/PBJ uncrustables/gummy bears/wines (2 or 3 different kinds which were left out ALL evening which I liked personally)

late evening - a random dessert from AP (sometimes a berry cobbler which was yummy!) brownies/cookies/dessert wines

coffee/soda/tea and I believe juice and milk are offered all day.

breakfast offerings were enough for DH and I to get moving each day

our favorite concierge is AKL...however, I DO like the rotations at WL - always a different appetizer/dessert...at AKL, it was basically the same each night (and they put the wine away at 7. dang it. hehehe)

We are staying WL Concierge December 17-22. Can't believe it. Our first December trip to WDW and our first Concierge stay. Really looking forward to it.

You'll love the WL Concierge. We have been to GF RPC, BWI, and WL and WL is our favorite. The CMs there make you feel very welcome and go out of their way to ask if you need anything. As far as food wise, the only thing I can add to the above list is I know they had instant oatmeal in the container that you could add water to in the morning as well as the other offerings. In the afternoon I know they always had mixed nuts and gummy worms out, and in the evening the wines and cordials were nice. We loved the evening offerings; I know one evening it was a very yummy green peppers, sausage and onion in marinara sauce and a chicken gumbo soup, as well as assorted cheeses and crackers, and probably one or two things I'm forgetting. One of the things I noticed was the wine seemed to be out from 5 to 10 instead of only 5 to 7 as at GF RPC, which I liked because I always seemed to miss it when we stayed at the GF. One evening we came back just slightly past 10 and the CM putting things away (when I expressed a little disappointment at missing the wine) poured me my choice of wine into a large cup (didn't drink it all but gave it a good try); also one afternoon as they were putting away the snacks my DS3 wanted a gummy worm and the CM offered us the whole basket full that was left. Also the mousekeeping was excellent our entire stay.

There is NO LOUNGE??

I am totally confused. When I went to AKL their lounge had a tv and seating and tables. WL does not have this??

Thanks Cheryl

Thank you all for all your replies. I am very excited!!

Cherylp3--there are some chairs available, but no room with TVS, etc as with the other deluxe concierges. I could be wrong as I've never been, but this is my understanding

One more question. Are there evening cordials--ie Kahlua, etc., or do they leave the wine out instead of offering these?

Thanks again everyone for your replies, you have helped to add to my excitement.

Yes, there are evening cordials from 8 to 10 as well as the wine. The seating area is several chairs and tables that overlook the lobby below.

No, there is no lounge like the AKL. They have tables and chairs, plus a few rocking chairs, facing the lobby in the 6th floor corridors. No TV, no couches... they don't have enough room. We stayed at AKL concierge before WL concierge and were somewhat disappointed... I too expected something like the AKL lounge... Also, the balconies in the concierge level have concrete walls instead of railings, so you cannot really sit and admire the view....

I know there are a lot of people here that love the WL concierge, so please don't slam me... I'm just expressing my own personal opinion.

I would definitely stay at WL again. It's beautiful. But I would like to have a courtyard or lagoon view in a lower floor, not concierge.

Thank You!! I'm going to Disney in 2 weeks And now that I'm living in FL this is more of a leisurely trip. So I'm switching from WL to the GF since its something I wanted to do anyway.
