Would it sleep 5?

Does it have 2 bathrooms?

Washer/Dryer?

Not sure a 2 bedroom would fit out budget--we're staying Aug 16-26.

We are looking to "splurge" and stay onsite, but need a bit more room. We looked at AofA but it's more expensive then renting DVC pts. Also, we did the DVC tour and want to try it out before we decide anything.

TIA!:)

The value 1 br are only in Jambo. There is no room for the sleeper chair -- they are 3 ft shorter than the rooms on the Kudu and Zebra trails, so they only sleep 4. Yes, there is a washer and dryer in the 1 br. While you can not request a view, there are rooms that face the savanna, pool, and also the parking lot. The view is luck of the draw.

You might have to rent enough points for the standard view. The 1 br at Kidani will have the extra bathroom. When we stay at AKV, I prefer the savanna view, since I do spend time on the balcony looking at the animals.

I'm also interested in the 1 BR value. Would it be safe to assume that everything will be the same (washer/dryer, full refrigerator, stove, etc.) as at other 1 BRs, but smaller overall size? We're trying to decide between a savannah view studio and a value 1 BR.

The value 1 BRs only sleep 5 if one of the guests is age 2 or younger.

Unlike other 1 BRs where 5 guests are allowed although bedding/towels is not provided for the 5th guest, the value 1 BRs are strict with the 4 plus one infant limit.

The bathrooms in the 1 bedrooms in Jambo are different than other DVC s, because they do not have a separate shower and a tub. The tub is a whirlpool, but the shower is just like in a regular tub. Plus the tub's rim is rather wide. It's a challenge for me, but I just booked a value 1 bedroom for DSis, DCuz and myself in January!

Maybe the floor plans will help you see the difference in a value and regular DVC villas. As you can see even the Kidani villas are different from the Jambo house villas. Sorry about one floor plan being enlarged. I took them off the DVC MS website and they were mis-sized there.

For the Value at Jambo just remove the area between the TV and the balcony in the living and the night stand and the balcony in the bedroom. That's about three feet. Note the Value is 629 SF.

That is great information/pictures. I guess the 1 bedroom value at Jambo only has 1 bathroom according to the pictures.

I also wanted to mention that getting the value rooms at the AKV at the 7 month window is very hard to do. I've tried many times, even for just one or two days for the value studio or value 1 bedroom and have never been able to snag one at the 7 month window. I don't travel during any holidays or summer, but have not lucked out with these rooms. You almost have to be an owner to book these rooms as there are only a few of them and they are only in Jambo house. It's not impossible, but would take buckets of pixie dust. I've even tried in late January (one of the slower times of year) and still could not get in to either at the 7 month window. Good luck, but you better make sure you have a back up resort when booking.

It is a little late to try and get a value room most of them go at the 11 month mark and it would not fit five anyway.
