I've had them at Via Napoli three times. Twice they were little hot balls of deliciousness, but once they came out cold and I sent them back. The waitress also brought out my husband's Ugly but Good Sundae completely melted that night, so I think it was her fault for not picking our desserts up in time.

When she put the bowl of melted ice cream in front of him, he said, "Hey, it's melted". She looked down at it and said "Yeah, a little bit". He put his spoon all the way down into the bottom of the dish stirring it, trying to find some solid ice cream and lifted some up and told her it wasn't just a little melted, it was completely melted. By that time I had taken a bite of my first zeppole and found it completely cold. She got a little irritated that we wanted to send both desserts back for new ones.

Normally they are very good though--little balls of light dough, freshly deep fried and steaming hot, like donut holes, but much better that you dip in melted chocolate and whipped cream. Ummm, sooo good!
