We are coming in August for 8 nights and staying at the yacht club. Having 2nd thoughts about it being a good "kid" resort. We have stayed at the beach club before and enjoyed the pool but the theme at the Yacht just seams more for adults. Also I am wanting to hear from anyone who has stayed in the club level. trying to decide if it is worth it. :confused3

Just got back from 10 nights YC CL...

Here is a link to the review I posted a couple of days ago (with pics):

Overall, I do think that there seems to be more children at BC but I wouldn't say that one is more kid friendly than the other. You do get a lot more business type folks at YC because of the convention center.

Our kids are 6 and 9 and we felt that it was very kid friendly.

I would not hesitate to stay there again. :goodvibes

I would read the first few pages of the Beach and Yacht Club thread. There is a ton of info on there and I believe a link to info about CL.

Good luck!

We've stayed YC CL many times, starting when my kids were 4 and 10. It has never felt like it wasn't for them.

Stayed CL in March with me wife and 7 and 4 year old girls. The resort is great, dining is limited, and there is more a business class feel to it. CL was ok, did not feel it was necessarily worth it, but my girls enjoyed the snacks during the day. We enjoyed our stay, and if we got the deal we did in March would stay again, but will most likely try the Beach Club if we stay in the Epcot area.

We stay st the YC every year with our 3 boys, 12, 12, and 13 now. Its our favorite resort. We have been staying there since the boys we little and have never felt that it wasn't kid friendly. On our trip last year when they had the summer discount they did not have any more discounted rooms at YC. But BC had plenty extra, asked the boys and hubby to switch to BC to get the discount and everyone said no. We like casue its nice and quiet and love to just sit in the lobby and people watch. It is very kid friendly!!

I just asked the boys what they were looking forward to most on our upcoming trip and all 3 said the YC, not the parks, the hotel!!

We have stayed YC CL and BC CL and we prefer the YC (as does my soon to be 10 year old). I have NEVER understood why folks think one is more kid friendly than the other... :confused3 The names? The lobby wall colors? Nonetheless, we would gladly stay at either, but YC is our first choice.

As for CL, only you can decide if its worth it. We aren't doing it this time, but mostly due to the length of our trip this time. Now that we are past the character breakfast stage, the CL breakfast is a convenient perfect fit for us. We also plan our dinner time ADR's based on the appetizers in the CL lounge in the evening. Already having a light snack and a glass of wine or 2 really cuts down on our food costs later.
