After experiencing Disneyland on new years eve, I like to plan my Disney trips based on crowd level & when my kids can miss a little school.

I really thought January was a shew in for slowness. Is it slow & I just had unrealistic expectations of "slow"?

We are seeing huge youth groups from brazil & it seems many other foreign speaking people. We have walked On some rides but of course the popular rides are between 40-60 min wait time..... Is that slow?

Those still seem like very long wait times. We like sep- nov, those time periods are a bit slower. Good luck!

February is supposed to be the best time to go to avoid crowds - the downside is, a lot of things are closed for refurbishment because it is so slow. We always go in October and we've had a few crowded days, but for the most part it's been wait times ranging from walk-on to 40 minutes. We also go during Columbus Day week, so that raises the crowds just a bit, but I've heard the other weeks (excluding the week before Halloween) are slow. Bonus: we always go to the Halloween Party.

IMO the last few weekends have been busier than the last years at this same time.

I am seeing lots of tour bus groups! Is it tour bus season or does that happen year round?

We always saw a lot of tour groups in October, so I think that's a year round thing. I actually heard some people talking in the Toy Story Mania fast pass line and realized who they were pointing to - it was a tour guide holding over 100 KTTW (which is what you're supposed to do, so the line is shorter, but I have serious doubts all of those people were in the park at rope drop and I'm so thankful I wasn't behind that person in line!). We tend to see the most tour groups at Epcot, so it never affected us since that's such a big park. Have fun!
