Tell me about the Windsor Hills BBQ pits...

Where are they located?
How many pits do they have?
Do they have a picnic table nearby to use for eating? Is it covered?
Do they get taken very quickly?
Can you reserve one?
Are the weeknights easier to get one than the weekend nights?

We're thinking about marinating and bbqing some steaks to eat one night, but am worried about not being able to use a bbq pit...

Please ease my concerns...

As far as I know they're still non existent. Pulte has promised them for some time now but they are definitely not there yet to the best of my knowledge!

You might want to check with your homeowner... many of the property mgmt companies will rent out a BBQ for the week (ours does). We used this on our last trip..they dropped off a gas BBQ, tools, etc. prior to our arrival, cost was $40 for the week.

hello, As we haven't stayed at Windsor Hills. But we have booked a condo through springvactionrentals.com as one of my friend refered me, and i had a great time during our stay at Grand Palms Resort, in Kissimmee. The hospitality is good and boasts a large, seasonally heated swimming pool, hot tub, gym, tennis court, BBQ & picnic area. . U can have a great time on weekend's.

Thanxs,
Mike:)

I suspect it's someone "hawking" either their website, their friend's website, or this resort, as the same guy (who's brand new) suddenly appears on the DIS and posts basically the same exact post on about 8 different threads....hmmm....

Anyhow, to answer your original post, I don't think they've installed the BBQ pit yet. It's been asked about by the owners numerous times, and still hasn't been done by Pulte. Heck, it took until Fall of 2006 to get the tennis courts and recreation area finally installed and finished, so at this rate we may see a BBQ pit...oh... ETA 2009-2010..!? They also just opened up a long awaited 2nd manned guard / security gatehouse on the north side of the resort (very late on this too!).

Best bet is to see if you can rent one from the homeowner or MC. Another option..Publix sells small charcoal grills for $10. Buy the grill and some charcoal and just throw it out after your trip.

A safety reminder to enjoying a grill out - if you rent a BBQ do not use it inside the pool screen (it's also against the law)
