We want to go to DL during the Christmas season, but we're trying to avoid crowds as much as possible.

What are the crowds like the week after Thanksgiving? I'm looking at Nov 27 - 29th.

All of the Christmas decorations are up by then, right? What other special holiday things do they have?

Thanks.:)

We will be there at this time as well.

I was there this exact week 2 years ago and it was D.E.A.D. Most rides were pretty close to walk-on.

However. I don't think you will see this happen at ANY point in the next year and maybe beyond. The numbers show that attendance has increased no matter which week you go. There is no real "slow" time. I am pretty sure the week after Thanksgiving will be slower then say Thanksgiving week or Summertime but I think you should expect to see some increased crowds. Not an hour long wait time for Pirates but not 5 min either. Prob closer to 15 min wait times for rides like that.

If I am wrong you will be pleasantly suprised. (and so will I)

A lot of the decorations are going up, part of the castle has snow already, NOS has decorations up. Everyone I've talked to has said it will be busy busy busy, that their is no slow time anymore in the holiday season.

This is the week my family and I have gone the past 2 years and will be going this year. I will say that the crowds were light. Very enjoyable the past 2 years.

The Christmas decorations are magical! Main Street is lit, the castle and IASW is amazing! Snow falls on Main Street, the Christmas parade and fireworks.

I have been snooping on the DISboards like crazy and like the other posts said, it is believed that there will be no slower time during the holidays with the opening of Carsland and the details that will be going up for Christmas. Also with Christmas parties rumored for next year I'm sure a lot of people are going to head down this year for the lasts of the free Christmas entertainment.

Also by polls and when the best to time to go threads it looks like a lot of people have picked up on the 2 weeks after thanksgiving being "slower" which makes more people want to travel then.

Just my 2 cents!
