Tell me about the week after Thanksgiving.

I'm so glad to hear all the great comments. I was starting to worry about the Pop Warner group taking over the place - especially since we are staying at POP. A friend went last year that week and said it was great. I'm so excited. We are suprising our kids (5 and 2.5) with this trip which will be DH's and my first trip in 15 years or more. And I'm SO glad WDW will be decked out for the holidays.

Joining in the week after Thanksgiving crowd!! We are there 11/26 to 12/3 at AKL- and can't wait!!!

I am so happy to hear that FP may not be necessary!!! We have been in August, Presidents Week in February, and Halloween week so this is our first time at Christmastime (and probably not our last!!!)

Arriving on November 26th with a suprise stay at AKL, trying to decide wether to do AK on that day (Saturday)??? Then we go on the 4 day DCL :sail: coming back on the 30th! Then staying at Pop, hoping for light crowds!!

DH & I are going 11/30-12/3 to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Staying at Saratoga Springs. Can't wait and soooo glad to here that it won't be crowded. Can't wait for all of the Christmas stuff :cloud9:

Just chiming in with my dates: Nov 28-Dec 4 at the Wilderness Lodge! This is our (my DBF and I) first stay at WL and I can't wait for it at Christmas time!

Thanks for all the great replies. Also wondering for those who have went to MVMCP during this week how crowded it was. We're going on Tuesday the 28th and are hoping for comfortable crowds.

Looking forward to a lot of new things since our last trip in May 05'.

11/28 thru 12/4 at POFQ for us and also MVMCP on Tues the 28th. It's Dh's first time ever and my first time during holiday season :Pinkbounc

We have been the week after Thanksgiving for about 10 years, missed the past 5, but we are going again this year. We have also been during several other times during the year. This is hands down our favorite time to go.

No crowds, great weather, holiday decorations. My husband won't go any other time of year. We went this summer with my family and he said "see, this sucks, I won't go in the summer again." We usually arrive on Thanksgiving day and stay for 10 days until the following weekend.

I have a question regarding the Christmas decorations~

Our next trip in Nov will be our 3rd straight year in a row we get to see the holiday decorations! The past 2 years we went the 2nd week in December-

We are arriving this year on 11/27- I know the decorations will be up in the parks- but how about all of the resorts??- I love going to see some of their trees- I hope they are up! :yay:

The resorts are awesome! We stayed one year at the Wilderness Lodge for Thanksgiving and the following week and all the decorations were up. We walked through several resorts just to see their decorations. Since we haven't been for 5 years not sure if they still do the same things, but check out the gingergread house at the Grand Floridian.

I have a random question, sorry to post it here- I can't figure out how to start a new thread. Can someone tell me.

Thanks,

I found this site several years ago and posted all the time but haven't done it for awhile and didn't remember my password for my old username so picked a new one. I am glad to be back and look forward to receiving and getting great information on the Parks!

11/24 to 12/2 for me and my kids :goodvibes We are bringing 2 Disney Rookies with us and can't wait for them to experience the magic for the first time. We are staying at OKW. We are planning on the 12/1 (Friday) MVMCP, is going on a Friday this early a big mistake?

Alrighty, now I want to go THIS year! We are going in 2007 11/23 to 12/1. but after reading all this great news I want to go THIS YEAR...that and I would love to meet you Maddhatir!! We can do laundry together! :thumbsup2
Ah well, it's not in the cards for us this year but it will next year!! :Pinkbounc

I will be there 11/25 to 12/2 also. Really excited too about the Christmas decorations and MVMCP - both a first for me too! Mybe we should have a mini meet? Theoswalts, JMCDisneybound, Mickeygolf! Anybody else going that week who would be interested in a short meet?

Hey Carol- I will meet you in the laundry room- how about we just meet at the pool bar and not so nay laundry since we are on vacation!

I cant wait to go this time b/c I think the weather will be MUCH cooler to enjoy a nice buzzzzzzz! WAAAY TOOOO hot in Sept to enjoy one!

Doubt I will be meeting you next year- DH said after this trip he wants to wait a while before doing Disney again (but then again he said that after our trip in Sept too!) :lmao:

I know a few years ago all the hotels had their own gingerbread houses- I also remember the one in the US at EPCOT- they served hot chocolate out of it! :yay: not sure if they will be doing it this year.

Redbudlover--we are staying at BWI 11/26-12/04 and would love to meet fellow Disers--we would be up for a mini meet if we can squeeze it in. Let me know! :thumbsup2

I'm all for skipping the laundry room and heading straight to the bar!
You know at first I was really bummed that I didn't have a drink during our trip but in retrospect it really was just wayyyy too hot to enjoy the buzz. I told DH that next year I have a 1 drink minimum for each day. I cannot go to bed until this minimum is met.

We also said that our trip in Sept would be our last trip for 2 - 3 years. :rotfl2:
As you can see, we are really sticking to our guns on that one... :lmao:
DH has already picked out the restaurants for me to make ADRs at, we've already picked out which MVMCP we would like to go to (based on this years party dates) and right now we are trying to decide between staying at ASMu again or upgrading to POFQ. (I'm pulling for POFQ myself).

Mmmm hot coco sounds so good right now. It's a damp day out here. I'll just live vicariously through all of you going this year to WDW...I'll try to keep the little green monster at bay...
