Ok, I will admit that I am clueless on this one. I was reading a navigator for the 4-night cruise (which we are sailing in May) and I noticed Tea with Wendy Darling. We have DD’s 3 and 7. Please provide me with as many details as possible such as:
location, cost, ages allowed, what goes on during the event, etc. etc. etc.

Our girls did not go, but I can tell you many children (and parents) seemed to be very disappointed.

They said it was cold tea and stale biscuits.

Anyone else with better info?

Jim

Yes. I'm not one who usually tries to find the bad in anything, but don't think you've missed anything if you miss out on this one.

I was expecting the fun and imagination found at Character meals at WDW, and it just didn't measure up.

I know Disney must have tried to create something 'magical' for a sea day, but everyone is entitled to a mistake or two.:p

Okay, enough negativity. However, I'll let someone else post something positive. Anyone?

Is this Tea with Wendy the same as the seven night cruise? I didn't know they were doing it on the four night.

We enjoyed it and my sons were picked to be Wendy's brothers. We did it primarily for my daughter who was turning 8 but I think her 9 and 10 yo brothers enjoyed it too.

It was iced tea and chocolate chip cookies. I think it would be a disaster to hot tea and lots of young kids.

It was free but you had to pick up tickets ahead of time. Wendy teaches you about tea time. For example, how to place the napkin on your lap and how to serve the tea. Then, I think she read a story. At the end, you can line up for pictures with Wendy.

We probably won't do it again, primarily because our kids are too old but I think it was a nice family event for younger kids and only took an hour or so.

I think if you're on a 4 night you'd be wasting precious vacation time doing this. My girls were o.k. with it but basically it's a cute little speeech by Wendy, and then you sit there waiting for your turn to have your picture taken with Wendy (this can take a while). Unless they LOVE Wendy, your time would be better spent elsewhere IMHO.

Thanks for the info everyone. Maybe we will cross this off the list of "things to do".
