Hi, we'll be sailing on the Magic in a few weeks and I'm interested in hearing about the Rainforest Room. We've gotten the length of cruise passes on both the Fantasy and Dream, and it has been a highlight for us. Will we be disappointed in the Rainforest Room on the Magic? Does it have the aromatherapy showers, saunas, and heated loungers?

Thanks in advance!

My husband and I did a day in the Magic Rainforest Room. There were showers, heated lounge chairs, steam room, sauna, and then a dry sauna in the ladies changing room. We enjoyed our time there very much and ended up very relaxed.

And just to note, the showers are "public". I've had the experience of being in the Rainforest Room (on the Fantasy) when someone didn't get that memo. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

We will be on the Magic next Friday. We haven't sailed on the Magic since 2011 so I can't remember the rainforest room but we are so use to the Dream/Fantasy and worried the Rainforest room will be a disappointment. We plan to check it out then decided. If I remember I will try to post next Friday when we board about it.

Eek! How did someone not notice they weren’t private showers?? There aren’t any doors! :scared1:

The main things the Rainforest rooms on the Dream (and I assume the Fantasy) has that that Magic does not are the whirlpool tub and the ocean view from the heated chairs. On the Magic, the chairs are in the same room as the showers and saunas. The showers on the Magic have fewer controls -- as I recall, I couldn't choose an environmental setting as I could on the Dream. On the plus side, the Magic's Rainforest room seemed less crowded than the Dream's, but that may also depend on day and time.

What???! That is crazy. How embarassing!

Thanks for all the feedback. Sounds like we'll still enjoy it, although I'll miss the ocean view from the heated loungers.

Does it have any ocean view like the Fantasy/Magic or is it all enclosed? I love chilling and watching the ocean in between steam rooms or the chairs.

Hey Jenn! If I remember correctly, the loungers don't have a view, but the dry sauna does. (but it's been 5 years... so I may be a little rusty on the memory)

I remember walking by the Rainforest room on the Magic two years ago and wasn't impressed as it was all enclosed and mostly just tile surrounding you, therefore I did not buy a pass. I did see some sauna/steam rooms plus heated loungers but it wasn't that big.
On the Fantasy last year I LOVED the Rainforest room. It's big, and wasn't crowded and had all the bells and whistles of a fancy spa lounge.
With that said, we are on the Magic again in 3 weeks and I was thinking of getting a day pass. I'm not sure if I'll get the week-long pass but maybe I will as we have 3 sea days and I like napping on the heated loungers.

Can you buy the passes before sailing? If so, where?

I'm pretty sure you can get a day pass from the list of in-room gifts. I think you have to call or fax it in. For length of cruise passes I think you have to go to the spa in person.
I still have to look into that for our cruise. :)

Day passes are sold ahead of time, length of cruise passes are only sold onboard with an individual or couples option (The couple does not have to be present at the same time for use). Depending on how many passes are sold day passes may be available onboard. There is only so many length of cruise passes available.

There is no view of the ocean from the Rainforest Room on either the Magic or the Wonder. The Wonder was remodeled during the last dry-dock and has loungers like the Dream and Fantasy, but still no view. You can get a nice ocean view from the spa villas (Couple's time)!

We just got off the Magic and the Rainforest Room was very bright, in my opinion. Lots of lights. Also, there was one lady who disrobed (completely naked) and used one of the showers while I was there one evening relaxing on the hot loungers. A guest (man) walk by and just about lost it. This was the TransAtlantic that typically sails guests from many different countries.
