I didn't think RPR had Kid Suites, and am thrilled to find out that's an option! Has anyone stayed in one? Photos? My ds will be 11, so he's not little, but he needs his own room...I'm hoping they're more "mature" kid suites (Tween Suites!)?! :confused3
Are they club level, or just a regular suite?

TIA!
Maria

They are definitely tween suites.

This is perfect! Thank you so much! Just what we were looking for. My ds is going to love this -- and I'm going to love having him in his own room!

When I made my reservation for March 2009, I was quoted over $500.00 PER NIGHT for the Jurassic Room (quoted by Universal reservations). This is withOUT any discounts, so I'm sure the price will go down. But, the price is THAT expensive without a discount.

Crazy...isn't it

Do a search on RPR kid suites. Wasn't there a review about one with a complaint that the bathroom was in the kids' portion of the bedroom, not in the parents' portion, so if mom and dad were to go to bed later than kiddos, they had better take care of their bathroom business before kiddos went to bed? Also, kiddo could lock the door from the inside, locking parents out of kiddo's bedroom/sole bathroom?

we have stayed in several kids suites. Bathroom is NOT in kids bedroom. There was NO lock in kids bedroom.

Wow! I was think more like $300 - $400, I'm not sure I can get dh on board for over $500!

I pointed out we are saving a ton by not going to Disney (our admission there is about $200/day now, at US we can enter for a week for $300), and he loves the idea of ds in his own space. We were upgraded to a King Suite for our last stay at RPR, and we can't say enough about how much more comfortable we were there than our previous days at Disney in a standard room.

We pretty much decided US/IOA was a better fit for us -- we enjoyed ourselves and relaxed more, and ds really preferred the US/IOA rides.

We'll be going at the end of August/beginning of Sept next year, so maybe the rate will be a little lower? :confused3

We do have AAA, and we will be there long enough for the Super Saver Rate. I'm not sure if that will be enough to get the price out of the stratosphere...

The rate we were quoted was 440.00 rack rate before any discount.

we worried about the lock in the kids bedroom because our son is special needs. I went in the bedroom and tried to lock the door with hubby on the other side and it would not lock.

the bathroom is in the king bedroom- look at the floorplan to see what i mean.

if you shut the kids bedroom door there is plenty of privacy and both rooms are huge.

we always had two remotes except for the last visit- we called star services and they brought another one up for us.

That sounds much better! How far in advance did you book? I'm wondering how many of the Kids Suites they have, and how popular they might be.

we have stayed in kids suites at both RPR and PB. We are only a two hour drive away so we usually book pretty close to time of travel. We have never had any trouble getting one. I know there are quite a few at PB - not sure how many at RPR.

We have gone in Sept. and Dec. last year and March and June this year. We have loved them! We have an autistic child who is a runner so it's nice to have a self contained room with no door to the hallway. The theming is really amazing and I love the attention to detail. On our last trip our son did not want to leave the room.

If you are going in Sept. you should have no trouble getting one and the rate should be good for that time of year.
