Tell me about the iPad.

OMG, just got mine yesterday and I love it! I got the 16gb wifi version. I downloade a bunch of apps last night and a few books and still haven't used 1gb yet.

I had my DS16 help set it up and now he wants one too (same, told him to start saving). I bought the white one and got a pink cover and named it Cynthia in hopes of girling it up, maybe they would leave it alone, nope, no such luck.

I am LOVING my ipad.

I have taken it with me on this vacation. I spent 4 days at the beach with my girlfriends and used it to surf and play around with.

Then DH and the kids picked me up and we drove down to Orlando. I watched 2 movies on it on the way down. Then the kids played with the apps games.

Here at this condo unit I can't get wifi as you have to pay for each device to get internet and we opted for DH's work computer since he has some work he needs to do on it.

We got the 32gb. I don't know if I will need it but it is nice to have all our apps, a couple of movies, my entire itunes library, and some audiobooks on it, plus most of my iphoto library and still have room left!

I am saving for an iPad. I think I want the 3G version, as I travel alot and want to be able ti use Netflicks, etc. No heavy gaming-ones like ANgry Birds, Bedazzled, etc and web surfing, some movies, simple applications. I already have an iphone (bought used off of Craigslist). I have actually bought 3 iTouches and an iphone off off Craigslist.

I am thinking of getting a refurbished iPad 1.

Is there a big difference between the 1 and 2 ANything I should know?

One of the big reasons I opted for the iPad 2 was the mirror capability. With a dongle to add an HDMI port to the iPad 2, you can mirror your display (fully) to a TV with an HDMI input.

Being able to do presentations, slide shows, show movies from my iPad on a larger screen is a nice benefit.
