We are staying at CSR in May for 10 days with a 16 month old. I was concerned about getting whole milk and didn't really want to burn snack credits or 2.50 per bottle for water. I'm considering ordering diapers, wipes, milk, and a case of water from the Garden Grocer. I know the delivery is $12, but we will make that up in convenience and savings from buying at the park. Please share your experiences. Do they arrive on time? Is the food (primarily milk) fresh? Any must trys? TIA

Had a good experience with Garden Grocer in December. Ordered milk, a case of water, Cheerios, and breakfast and snack foods. I had it delivered about an hour before we arrived at SSR. I didn't want to be hanging around waiting for a delivery, and I knew the resort would keep cold items in a fridge. When we checked in, I called Bell Services and told them that they could bring up my order.

I had alot of leftover snacks at the end of the week (I left everything with a note for Mousekeeping - they could take it or toss it), but the 32 bottle case of water was gone!

Just double check your order list -- I ordered salsa and no chips :rotfl2:

We have ordered every time we have gone with no problems. The resort keeps everything cold so no problems with milk etc. Saves a ton of money even with delivery charge

We ordered from there and can't complain one tiny bit! They are very reliable and you don't have to be there to get your order, they will leave it with the front desk and in turn they will put everything in the fridge that needs it.
GG picks out everything that you order, and if you have special brand requests they will go and get that for you as well.
We brought our own soft sided rolling cooler, we folded it flat and put it in the bottom of our suitcase and packed on top of it. The things we ordered were breakfast cereal, fruit, bread, peanut butter, milk, case of water, snack crackers, and Mt. Dew for hubby. (No pepsi products in WDW) I did however take our own plastic knife, spoons and bowls, the bowls you can get for a dollar for four bowls at Wal-Mart and the plastic wear you can get any where, we have lots from Party City from all the birthday party's we have here at home (very durable), this way I could throw these things away and not feel bad at the end of the trip.
The ice is free as I'm sure it is every where (we stay at the value resorts) so we would fill up every evening before bed and then again before leaving for the day. It kept everything cold and the fact that the cooler rolled made it very easy to rid the water and get new ice without having to lift or make lots of trips with the ice bucket to fill the cooler. It saved us tons of money not having to eat breakfast in the parks, and saved us from having to use our ddp snack credits for water.
Having the water and sodas cold in our back packs/bags when we would leave for the parks made for keeping us cool longer as the day went on, we also would fill up with ice and cool water (with the bottles we would take in) as needed in the park where ever they served it since they can't deny you this.
I think you'll be very pleased.

We've used garden grocer 5 times and have never been disappointed.

They always are right on time and once when they forgot something they went right back and got it for us.

I usually order all the things you can't take on the plane (shampoo, hair spray, tooth paste, mouthwash etc.) water, kids wipes, snacks for the room, fruit and breakfast items.

Since we're staying CL this time I won't order as much but will still order the shampoo and such and a case of water.
