Tell me about the Dolphin at Christmastime

Do they do anything special like the WDW resorts do? Thanks!

We went in 2005 and at that time they had a beautiful poinsetta tree in the lobby with a train that went around it. They have a schedule they give you at check in (which I think they posted online as well) that tells you the different activities.

I believe they had a tree lighting either nightly or on certain nights. They definately had Santa there and some cookie decorating. I believe they also had "reindeer games" but we didn't participate in that so not sure what they were. I also seem to recall that for a fee you could have an elf come on Christmas Eve night to tell your child a story and bring a few goodies. We were splitting our stay and had already left for the GF by that time, so again, didn't do it and couldn't tell you the price.

Keep checking here closer to the holiday and they will give you descriptions of these activites when you click on the Swan/Dolphin logo at the top.

3 for me nailed it. We went last Christmas and are going back this year The decorations are beautiful, especially the tree. My kids did the cookie decorating and some crafts. It is also a short walk to the Boardwalk and Beach Club to see their decorations which are also incredible. Can't wait.

You'll enjoy it. This will be our second trip to S/D over Christmas. We also enjoyed walking to the resorts at the BW and BC/YC.

We have been lucky enough to stay at the Dolphin for the past three years at Christmas or just after and its georgous The tree is HUGE and the train running around it is very fun to watch even for adults. Lots of activies for kids, IIRC there is one during the day and one to coincide with the tree lighting at dusk. My dd's did a cookie decorating a dance along with the elves and a few others. They were also giving out hot chocolate, candy canes and cookies for free at the boat dock and the bus stops, very sweet

Your also in walking distance of the georgeous decorations at the Boardwalk and the YC/BC. I
