Does it have good rewards?? Are there a lot of black-out dates? How much money do you have to use on the card to get enough points for one of the hotels??

Thanks so much!!

Its a Visa credit card. The gimmick is that you spend $100 on stuff and they give you $1 in reward to put on a Disney Reward Card which you can spend at the park. You also get a few extra perks like a special photo op with characters including a free picture (WDW and DLR) and free stroller rental at DLR. Also good at WDW is that Disney Visa holders can book special package/resort rates a few days before the general public thus getting the best availability for those discounts. Not very helpful for DLR. Other than that, its just a credit card.

You need to spend alot of $$$ to get good rewards. If you are good at paying at the end of each month that would be beneficial. You figure you spend 1000 and get 10!:lmao:

I applied about six months prior to our trip and received a six month intro rate of 0% interest on all purchases. I was able to rack up enough points for our dinner at Blue Bayou for the three of us, and Mickey Ears at the Mad Hatter. Not bad considering it was free money. I applied mainly because of the benefits - free strollers, the Meet and Greet, and some food discounts. The points ended up being a nice perk. I just paid off the balance and was getting ready to cancel the card since my 0% is running out, but I just received a promo postcard in the mail today advising me that I'll receive 5 pts instead of 1 for every $100 spent for three months  It had a promo code that I needed to enter online so I'm not sure if they just sent it to me to lure me into keeping the card since the 0% is running out. Maybe I'll keep the card for a few more months now.... For adults without small kids I don't think the card is worth it, the reward points are pretty low.

sounds like you got a better deal than me:thumbsup2

my offer beginning this month for 3 more is if i charge $250; i get 5 X the points...above a threshold of $250 a month (make me an offer I can refuse);) Signed up for it online, don't think i'll bother; always afraid i won't pay it off in a timely manner.:confused3

i haven't used it in over a year, not sure if it's designed to get inactive accounts busy? DH has his own account (with a much higher limit, only uses it to run vacation expenditures thru for the rewards) has never gotten an offer over the past few years he's had it.

fyi, they did offer me a low transfer rate @ 3.99% that I utilized.

wow I got screwed! My threshold was $1000... geeshh

Keishashadow and Eeyore, Come to think or it, there is a $250 threshold - thanks for reminding me! I truly think it is to get me to spend more on the card, I carried a pretty high balance because of the 0% interest and just paid it off so I think they might be getting worried that they gave away too much to me lol. For once, I made something off of a credit card company :woohoo:

The main benefit of having this card is that you get the 0 % financing for 6 months on Disney trips booked with the card. That was the main reason we got one for our first trip back in 2003.

If you are going to spend money on disney items and vacations it's a decent card. The rewards of 1% are comparable to a miles card and since I know I will spend at least that at disney it's good for me. I also like the 0% for six months on disney vacations, cruise line, and DVC purchases. I am also on the 0% for six months (just signed up about a month ago) and that is nice as well.

meant to ask, the Chase Disney Visa has a free photo site in Epcot with various charactars the last few years (1 per card)

do they have this @ DL?

forgot to mention they have discount for disneyshopping & you get advance dibs (few days) on pkgs @ WDW, not sure about DL? anyone know?

0% financing also works on DCL; note that the entire pkg must be paid on the card.

For me, I like the card for the free stroller rental and picture. We get 2 picture vouchers every day of vacation that we are organized enough to go during the morning time in DCA. We saved over $100 with these benefits. There are also some good discounts you can take advantage of in restaurants if you don't have AAA or an AP.

This is my one and only credit card so I rack up quite a few points. For me, I think it's totally worth it since I take a trip to Disneyland about every two years. Therefore, I have two years to save up points. You receive 1 point (which equals one Disney reward dollar) for every $100 you spend. Since this is the only card I use, I earn enough points to pay for meals and souvenirs.

can you explain what you mean by picture vouchers?

@ WDW you just show your card @ a certain time @ a special spot in Epcot.

i didnt know you got 2 pic voucters a day i had only heard of the one pic thing in the morrnings?

The photos are taken by a PhotoPass photographer. They give you one voucher per day for each Disney Visa card that you show. My DH and I each have a card with different account numbers so we received two vouchers per day. The CM did look at both cards and verified that they were different. When we picked up our photos in CA the CM was very nice and let us pick whatever photos we wanted. We chose some photos that were not taken at the Character Meet & Greet. I have heard that it totally depends on each CM if they will allow you to do this. We went to the Meet & Greet one day when they were changing characters so we had multiple photos taken, some with Chip and Dale and others with Mickey & Goofy.
