Thinking of telling my DD to just do dessert here. They will only be in DL for one day and she loves her desserts, What do you think?

I don't know if Blue Bayou is known for their desserts. You can also suggest Brennens Jazz Kitchen they make bananas Foster in front of you, Hope she has a great time.

BB used to have really fantastic deserts like the trio of creme brulee, the flying dutchman cookie boat, etc. They did away with the things that made them fun and unique, and of course that kind of made people stop coming just for deserts... You might look on allears.net at the dining segment and see what BB has listed as deserts before making that reservation.

In January, they had just pretty basic desserts - pecan pie, creme brulee, a chocolate cake, ice cream, and maybe key lime pie. Nothing I would go out of my way for...I'd rather have the Mickey beignets at Cafe Orleans or the Mint Julep bar! Rancho del Zocalo and Plaza Inn have some pretty good desserts, if that's what you're looking for, and there's always the Jolly Holiday bakery, tool.
