I just booked our August trip. This trip is my mother's birthday present to DD, who will turn 6 during the trip, and my mom's dream resort is the Beach Club, so that's where we're staying. SAB sounds fabulous for an August trip, and we're planning on spending our arrival and departure days at the pool so that was a big draw - normally, we don't spend much time at the resort, but going in AUg, we're taking it slower and planning more swim time and less park time.

So, tell me about the Beach Club. Anything I should know about room requests? Best locations? Right now, the only thing I've requested is a 2 queens room with a daybed, so that DS9 has his own bed.

subscribing....we check into BCV next Sunday!!! :yay:

You are gonna love it!!!!!!We rode the waterway to MGM and it's great. Hopped a bus for MK-walked to Epcot. It's a wonderful location. Our room was closer to the rear elevator, so we were just a hop from the quiet pool, laundry room, and International Gateway. We did get a room with a small balconey-just wished they had lots of bigger ones. Our room did face the volley ball court-no one was ever there- and the water and it was very pretty. Make sure to meet Art the Greeter-he's soo nice. The character breakfast is great, Beaches and Cream is fabulous. Can you tell this is one of our favorite stays?:rotfl:

Ya'll are going to have a great time. Enjoy!!!

We love the beach club (in fact we brought our dvc there ;) )
#1. Location, location, location. Can't beat it. walk to epcot and to mgm. bus to ak and MK. I usually go the 3rd or 4th week in August and I've never had transportation issue.
#2 Fabulous pool. Stromalong bay is great, 1 word of caution I didn't think they had a lot of chairs in the shade so be mindful of the strong August sun. Your kids will love it. They also have a quite pool that is very nice.
#3 Lots of eating choices. It is right across the lake from the broadwalk with its many restaurants and you can walk back into world showcase for even more dining choices. Beaches and cream is a great cafe but it is very small. they have good burgers and such but the big draw for me is the ice cream.
#4 Art the greater and the decor. Simply beautiful.

I would stick with just one request or at least make sure you let them know which request is most important. Glad you guys are taking it slow, we've stopped doing disney "commando style" a few years back and have had more magical vacations ever since. Relax and enjoy.

I second what the other posters have said. BC is a beautiful resort. The only thing to add is that BC is great at night when it is all lit up. It's really nice to just walk the grounds at night. BC, YC and Boardwalk are all lit up and reflecting off the water...beautiful. Oh, one more thing. After Illuminations it's just a short walk back to BC through the International Gateway. None of the "mad dash" to the bus stop!:woohoo: Enjoy!!

This thread is helping me get even more thrilled about our trip! We leave for BCV next Monday! Maybe we will see you there Daisyduck123.

I went solo to Epcot one of the days we were on vacation (7/15-7/21) and got some pictures of the BC. Just click on them to make them larger. :thumbsup2

I have more, just ask. :)

BC is an incredible resort!! There is so much to do and is a child's (and adult's) paradise!! :cloud9:

O.K. now ya'll have got me excited. We leave for the BC at the end of August. It will be our first ever stay at the BC. And while I do have a little reservations about the transportation, I am super excited about the resort itself and SAB!!!
