Hey guys! Has anyone stayed at the Anabella? My hubs and I got a great deal to stay, but I've read on yelp some concerning things.

First of all, someone was posting about Brown Recluse spiders...uhh what? Has anyone had a problem with these here?

What is the concierge breakfast like? Could we get a better breakfast at like a days inn, or a chain hotel?

What kind of transportation is there to get to Disneyland property? Other then walking. I'm sure we will probably walk, but if I'm there all day on my feet, I can't imagine walking back will be too pleasant.

I appreciate any answers and please be honest! If it's bad, I would like to be prepared!!

Thanks all of my Disers!

I've had nothing but good experiences at Anabella.

We walk. Go to the crosswalk, cross Katella, walk up towards Paradise Pier Hotel and Grand Californian. Enter the Grand, walk through to downtown disney and to the parks.

I assume ART stops there, though. For that, you buy tickets and the bus takes you to/from the Harbor-side entrance to the esplanade (which is the big area between the two parks).

Arachnids are everywhere. I would hate to find one at a hotel, but I would hate to find one at home as well. And I bet they have a much better pest control program than I do. CA is in a huge drought, so I wonder if that's bringing them out. If they are there, they could be anywhere...

That said, I trust nothing said on tripadvisor or yelp...DH trusts yelp totally and I just don't understand why!

(truly phobic person here, just posting about things is making my skin crawl....)

ETA: I imagine a motel is going to be more prone to "outside" critters coming inside than a hotel. So if you're not going to go with Anabella, go with a proper hotel. Hilton, the onsite resorts, HoJo...those are hotels.

I've stayed there and it was just fine. Paid $85/night with AAA discount. It's really close to the parks.

There are a few really good threads on here about it. Do a search and I think you'll get a ton of info.

Only complaint we had was that there was no light in the shower/toilet room. Had to leave the door open when showering.

DH and I stayed there one night at the end of Feb this year and had no complaints! For some reason I can't remember what we did for breakfast that day? We checked out that morning & took our luggage to the GC (went into park until room was ready).
We did eat dinner there and sat outside kinda near the pool. Was a nice evening & the food was good!! We walked to DTD after dinner. Nice easy walk! All in all, we liked the hotel very much and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We have stayed and had no complaints. The rooms were clean and staff friendly. We would walk through the GCH which is fine.

We have never had breakfast so can't comment there.

The only reason w shave not stayed there again was we have gotten great deals at the 3 hotels that are even closer.
