Tell Me About Thanksgiving

Very very busy. We enjoyed all the decorations but vowed never to go again. However, with all that’s going on, we might have to end up rescheduling to that week.

We have rebooked our March trip for this time and are hoping for the Candlelight Processional (with a package) on Black Friday. Why do you say never again, and what would you recommend instead that day beforehand? We have park hoppers.

Historically, Candlelight Processional didn't start until the week after Thanksgiving in December. To my knowledge, last year was the first time in recent years that it started over Thanksgiving weekend and I believe that's because Thanksgiving was so late last year, leaving less time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It looks like Thanksgiving falls a similar way this year so its possible it may be the same again, but just mentioning this so expectations can be managed accordingly.

As for the OP, late November has a good chance of cooler temperatures. Pool weather will be a 50/50 chance, in my own experience. It can be warm or downright cold. We had temps in the low 50s one year and we were layered up with gloves - the outdoor rides whipping you through the cold air were brutal. Often, it can be comfortable temperatures for touring the parks, but not warm enough to go in the pool (60s, 70s). November is statistically the driest month, so rain hasn't had much of an impact on our previous November trips.

We were there last Thanksgiving. Crowds are big as you would expect. Planning is key. A good time to go though. Decorations are up and weather is good. Would recommend.

Oh no! We had already booked a Thanksgiving trip this year before the Covid-19 crisis...I didn't even THINK about how many people would likely push their summer trips onto that week!
