So I’m moving back home which means I’ll be living in a basement bedroom with evil cats. I was reading about terrariums in a magazine and thought, how cool it would be to try. What would you guys recommend for holding my plants? I bought a 4in china doll, two random foliage plants (this is what they were labled) and one cute tree like fern that mom wanted (gonna be her Christmas gift in its own terrarium). I have moms in a two gallon lighted fish tank (also keeps it from furry mouths). Any advice? I really want my pretty plants to survive.

Bumping because I want to know as well. DD12 has 2 small cacti plants, that I haven't killed yet. However, it is turning colder here and we want to keep them growing.

Depending on the size I know you can put them in a fish tank and as long as the cover is at least half solid, it will keep in enough heat to keep them alive if you put them in a sunny spot. My issue is I dont have a sunny spot :(

Cools thanks.

Since your stuff will be in basement, would a sun/heat lamp -say for a reptile -in your case be used?
