I'm just as excited to go to SuperTarget as I am Disney! I've never been to one and I'm a Target junky so please tell me what their prices are like. Are they comparable to Wal-Mart, Kroger, etc?

I love SuperTarget. But it's just like any store some things are more some thngs are less. I always check their ad to see what is on sale. We stopped at a great one on highway 192 in Kissimmee, FL. It was really close to WDW. I think its named the Orlando SW SuperTarget. DD lived closer to the one on West Vine but I thought it was worth the drive to go to the other one. Just have fun at whatever SuperTarget you go to.

Well just like with Disney, you pay a bit more for better service, better quality. (not a significant amount more, and there's some good deals too)

There's two on 192 now. One at 535/192 (which is good for epcot, dtd, magic kingdom), and the brand new one is on the far west end (good for animal kingdom, studios).

Kari just can't stand their milk. She prefers publix brand and is ok with wal-mart brand. I don't even drink milk, just for cereal, and I can notice a difference. Of course milk is processed locally, so it might not be the same everywhere.

It's a Target -- with a grocery store attached.

Sarcasm, aside, it's basically like a WM Supercenter -- unlike typcial Targets, the Supers have a full-line grocery store with fresh meats/produce/deli.

I believe Supers may be open an hour or so later than your neighborhood Target.

The one Super Target I've been to seemed to carry a lot more gourmet and specialty foods than your normal discount store. And in no way is it as cheap as Super Wal Mart.

Okay, I believe Super Target follows the "you get what you pay for" mantra; I personally love Super Target because they carry a lot of the same stuff as Whole Foods; many organic products available; a lot of people gripe because they say their prices are higher; yes, I have noticed that, but not as high as Whole Foods; I can buy no hormone/no antibiotic chicken, ground meat and eggs at Super Target; I absolutely their Archer Farms products; I even e-mailed Target to rave about them and they returned the favor by mailing me some coupons; just about everything single thing I can buy in Archer Farms brand I get, even their organic milk; their Market Pantry label is also pretty good; so, yes, the prices are higher than my dirty, nasty, mean employees Wal Mart, but I will pay more and get better quality products at my nice clean Super Target.

Target comp shops Wal-Mart and so there prices tend to be very close to Wal-Marts. Some things are less, some are more but never by loads of money unless one store is having a sale.

The Archer Farms foods are great. Our current favorites are the Monster mix, the white cheddar/rosemary popcorn and the bread.

I buy the Monster mix at the regular Target and love it! I'm happy to hear that the prices are not outrageous. I get alot of great deals at the regular Target so I'm hoping with coupons I can get a better deal on things we need for the week we are there than I would at Wal-Mart. I usually grocery shop at Kroger because I despise Wal-Mart so maybe their prices will be normal prices for me.

I am a Targetholic! I love it, there is a SuperTarget about 1/2 mile from me that I pass a few times a day which is not always a good thing. I am a single person so don't spend a ton on groceries anyway but I find their grocery prices to be comparable to Kroger but I think they have a better selection of "different" things then Krogers. Their meat, I believe, is a little higher but it is very good quality and I agree about the Archer Farm brand-it is very nice. I do have to say I don't think the food area is as near as big as Kroger or Walmart.

On a side note, I was in San Diego last fall and went to a SuperTarget-it was 2 stories high with the coolest escalator in the middle-going up the middle was a place to hook your cart and the escalator took that up/down as you were using the regular people escalator. I live in Indianapolis so we aren't in a small town but had not seen these before, it still makes me chuckle to think how efficient this was. Of course, like any tourist I had to take pictures!

:cool1: I love Super Target! It's like a regular Target store with a grocery store added on. I do most of my food shopping there. Their prices aren't as cheap as Super Walmart, but they are better than the grocery stores in my area. Have fun!

I went and wasn't impressed and I am a target girl. I just found that there were not many food choices. One kind of potatoes, something else I needed that was common at a grocery store they didn't even have and I like tried and true brands and don't want to experiment with gourmet foood. We just got a superwalmart amd I think it will be a cold day in hell before I head into there as our walmart here is so bad I want nothing to do with that company.

I just wish we could find just one grocery store that carried ALL the products my family likes. Right now we have to go to 2 or 3 to get everything on our list.
