I was trying to find information (spoilers and all) for Stitch's Great Adventure. Trying to decide whether to do it or not with our son. Any info from you experts on this ride would be greatly appreciated!!!

Stitch is just like Alien Incounter except made more mild for the younger crowd... I suggest you do this only is you have time or Lilo and Stitch fans in your house...

We have a HUGE 8yr old Stitch fan in the house. On our Dec05 trip she debated going on with her older sisters (1 a motion-sickness prone, loud-noise sensitive ride-chicken who did chicken out & 1, a ride demon).

When I said to the CM at the gate that she was a HUGE Stitch fan, his reply was "she won't be after this". She happily stayed with me for another round on Buzz Lightyear!

Forgot it wasn't the loveable stitch...Haha
Alright... I don't recommend it period then...I went with my family(which was about 20 people.) The day we went to MK, we met for dinner and discussed rides for the days. The ten that rode it hated it... I think it's the next Disney thing to go...The line was non-exsistant...

i personally think it is the dumbest ride disney has ever come up with. i absoutely love stich and its not even really about him. it is just like alien in counter and i think that disney imagineers could have done a better job in coming up with a completely new ride with stitch rathar than doing a knock off of alien in counter. (btw i didn't like AIC either). thats just my opinion. and it is true that it might be scary for the younger ones.

After experiencing ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter and loving it, I was hoping that it wasn't too different for Stitch's Great Escape.

Boy, was it bad. I was so depressed. Too bad Disney buckled under the pressure that the earlier version was "too" scary and came up with the current version. It's bad.

However, I'm of the opinion that every attraction deserves at least one chance. So I say try it out yourself first. Who knows, it may be your favorite attraction ever!

it depends how old he is and how easily frightened he is...when the ride begins, you are taken into a "waiting area," watch a short movie clip and are briefed on the capture and escape of a deadly alient - STITCH - you are then brought into a very dark room with tons of seating around a circular "stage." you are then locked into your seat with an overhead harness...at this point i heard a young boy crying and pleading with his parents to "get me out of here" - there were lots of other young kids in the room though who seemed to be just fine - the ride is very clever and plays on your senses - stitch burps and it begins to smell really really bad in the room - he also escapes from his chamber and the room goes pitch black - they then blow some hot air on you to make you feel like he is behind you beathing down your neck and touching your head - i would say if your son does okay at 3d movies like honey i shrunk the audience, or its tough to be a bug - he should be okay at this attraction...

me and my girlfriend went on this ride and absolutely hated it...complete waste of time

I was amused to see an 80 minute wait on Stich one evening this summer. Yes, 80. I didn't understand it either, normally it's a walk-in.

Thanks so much for all the help. I was leaning in the direction of not trying it. My son had an accident earlier this year and developed severe toxic shock syndrome associated with strep and was in the hospital for 11 days. Since then he is a much more timid child. We are hoping this trip to gradually boost his confidence and I want to be careful in our selections. This is definetly not for him right now. I truly appreciate all of your help.

We were looking forward to see this attaction. DD8 is a big fan of stitch. Boy it was BAD. Never again.

We were given a passholder preview when it opened and I couldn't believe how bad it was.

I am a huge Stitch fan and this was not the ride/show to be a fan for. It is just plain dumb and smelly (gross on those chili dogs). Totally sickening and icky. This is not his cute and cuddly side.

We tried it once again, hoping it had changed or they took the bugs out, never again. I wouldn't say don't waste your time, because it's your time, but you asked and I couldn't give you a good recommendation for it.

Remember, Buzz is right down the road and doesn't stink.

I wouldn't bother. If your child is afraid of the dark and being harnessed in, then skip it! It's a waste of time to stand in line--I'd rather spend my "line time" in Mickey's Philharmonic--now THERE'S a great ride!!

I thought it was stupid but my DD who was 8 at the time loved it. She wants to go on it as soon as we get to MK this time. We own every Lilo and Stitch movie and she simply loves Stitch. The people who don't like it obviously aren't kids! You never know what will appeal to them so don't rule it out based on adult's opinions. We didn't find it scary at all and my DD is a bit of a chicken! :confused3

Grandson of 4 yrs old, is a big fan of Stitch, and wanted to go on the ride. I had previously been on the ride the year before, and hated it, but; with my grandson wanting to go, I took him. He came off the crying, and never wanting to do it again. When we had our character breakfast at the Poly, he told Lilo how much he disliked stitch, lol.... we won't be dong that ride again too soon.

Disney could use that space with a better ride, and remove Stitch now rather than later.

Good information everyone.

My wife and I absolutely LOVED Alien Encounter, so we were curious how this "toned down" version was going to be.

We were also debating about taking our 4 yr old daughter who likes Stitch and the "Fast" rides (re: BTMRR, Space Mtn, Splash mtn, Soarin', etc.) on it. However, she didn't like It's Tough to be a Bug so we weren't sure how she would do on this one. Sounds like she won't like it.

I think Aunty and I might try it first while Mom takes her on Buzz and then go from there ...
