I am considering a trip next year for the week of St. Patrick's Day. Probably a Monday-Friday trip (5 days 4 nights). This is not my first rodeo but I've never been that week and am not sure what to expect in terms of pricing (spring sale discount??) or crowds or weather. We'd be 3 adult women so we would be doing primarily MK and Epcot (Flower & Garden Festival) and hitting Downtown Disney. Maybe 1 day would be to pop into AK & Studios to check out any changes since our last trip - if we feel like it. And we'd rely on FP+ to make sure we got on any "must do's". Since there would be 3 of us to share the cost of the hotel, we'd hope for WL bunk bed room or a little cheaper idea would be POR with a pull down bed.

Thoughts? Is that a terrible week? We were thinking March/April (one's a hockey mom who's trying to go when the sports schedule has calmed down a bit) so if there's a better week let me know.

I've done a little research and that week looks crazy busy and VERY pricey! If you don't recommend that week, do you recommend another in that early spring timeframe. This far out, we do have some flexibility. We have gone in early/mid may a few times. And while it is a nice time of year at WDW, it's hard to leave perfect weather at home. :)

Very very busy... it is spring break time 2nd week of March thru mid April. But, nice weather.

we were there st patricks day week in 2011 and was in epcot on st patricks day. the weather was perfect all week. during the afternoons it was busy but we found it manageable and would not hesitate doing that week again even though we generally go during months with smaller crowds (oct or may).

Maybe we'll lean towards earlier in March or later in April. Thanks so much for your input! I just thought it would be neat to be there for St Pattys!
