Tell me about Skyauction!

I have heard a little about skyauction but I really don't understand how it really works. Can you get a good deal through them. Any info on them would be great. We are looking for a place in Orlando and in St. Petes beach area. Thanks!

You can get a good deal. But, you have to be extraordinarily flexible. If you search, you'll find lots of threads with people who really wanted a 2BR, or really wanted a specific week, and either had no options, or had only "extra cost" options to pick from.

You have to think of skyauction as the "clearance rack"---it might not be the color you want, or exactly your size.

right now they are not releasing Orlando easily

so be sure you have a resort - not just a pick and the time you want - before you bid.

stay away from their home away (and believe me it hurts to say this) and their ready, set go (for now).

they just aren't putting Orlando out there. Now other places - they are definitely there - jut not Orlando. they want you pay more for Orlando - it some cases several hundred more. (not happening)
