My daughter put scentsy on her Christmas list. She told me it is a warmer and scents. Where do I get that? Can anyone tell me about it and tell me your favorite scents?

Scentsy is one of those house show items like pampered chef or partylite.. that kinda thing. You can't go to a store you would need to find someone that sells it. Maybe you can get away with a yankee candle Warmer and some tarts. I do like Scentsy and have quite a bit of their products, but all that candle stuff is the same to me in the end.

Scentsy is similar to Thirty-One, Pampered Chef, Origami Owl, etc. You need to find a home sales vendor.

If she is asking for it, she may already have a consultant. I would ask her, and the order from them. I like a lot of the scents. Beach is my favorite, but it was unavailable for awhile. It may be seasonal, I don't know.

If you go to the Scentsy.com website I believe they'll find a consultant for you.

I think one of the fun things about scentsy is coming up with your own mixes. One of my favorites is a couple of bars of "orange you glad" mixed with a "simply vanilla"

Wal-mart sells one that runs around $15 for the same type of thing. While I love scentsy, I can't justify the price for the warmers and have gotten them at Wal-mart.

Completely agree about Walmart selections. I have one and love it. I actually told DH I want another one for Christmas. My sister has some scentsy warmers and now uses the Walmart cubes because she thinks they last just as long.

I like the large selection of Scentsy warmers... and cheap out and put Walmart cubes in it. I think they last just as long if not longer. You can get a starter set for Scentsy though through someone who sells it. Warmer and a few bars. I like the sports team warmers. :)

Your daughter can trade places with me -- my sister is a "Sentsy Rep", and that's pretty much all I (middle-aged male) get for Christmas from her...

I saw somewhere online, I don't remember exactly here, but I almost think it was liked off of Amazon to buy Scentsy. Somebody linked to their page from a discussion or something. I think the usual route is to find a rep who sells, as others have said it is like 31 or Pampered Chef. If you don't know any, just ask around or put out a Facebook SOS.

I went the "Walmart" way myself. I really like it. I got a burner for $10, it is one that has a cord, not plugs in directly. I went to get another one for the other end of the house a few months later, and of course I can no longer find them. I ended up buying another one off Amazon for about $11 that is way different, but it seems to work fine.

I usually get the "Cupcake" wax myself. I just really like that. It seems that the "Sweet Pea" lasts a lot longer than anything else I've tried. I don't know if they are different, or I just got a hold of a special pack of it, but that stuff would burn so long I'd get tired of it. :rotfl2:

I buy the $2 Walmart stuff myself usually.

I have a Wal-Mart burner and a scentsy burner. The Wal-Mart burner does seem to get hotter and the scents are about the same I LOVE vanilla suede and Ocean scent from Scentsy! I would check on Mondays they sometimes have great deals through Scentsy. You can get a $30-40 burner for $12 :cool1Oh and everywhere sells scents you can use Bed Bath and Beyond and Target have them too!:)

Walmart has a nice selection of warmers (Scentsationals and Better Homes and Garden) and Hobby Lobby carries the Scentsational brand too ao you could use their coupons on them.
Quality wise the warmers are the same as the Scentsy ones, at 1/2 the price. Scentsy definitely has a bigger selection of styles though. I can't comment on whether the wax last longer, I have never compared the two.

If she asked for Scentsy don't get her the kind from Walmart or anywhere else. I have some Scentsy stuff and tried the Walmart cubes and thought they were terrible. Their selection is small to begin with and the scent definitely did not last as long. Scentsy has infinite scents and they smell much better, too. I love the Scentsy Warner's -- I have a full size warmer (or maybe mid-size?) and also a plug-in warmer. I really only use one at a time because the scent will fill our entire house from just one warmer.

And yes, if you just go to their website they will direct you to a consultant and you can order online. :)

I'm the opposite...while I have scentsy warmers, I would buy the cheaper warmer, and the actual scentsy cubes....they are quite nice, and it's all about the smell.... scentsy are not a terribly expensive item, for around 35.00 you can get a nice warmer plus some scent cubes......
In fact< ineed to order some more....almost out of mochadoodle, and some others!
