I'm preparing my list of ADR's to make, I was pretty sold on Bongo's, but Touring Plans has them listed as 2 stars (out of 5) with public approval at 50%, while Raglan Road gets 4 stars and 79% approval...
So, who's been to either or, better yet, to both? What are your thoughts?

We went to Raglan Road last year for lunch and it was great. I would definitely recommend it--the bread pudding alone was wonderful! :thumbsup2

I've been there twice with a similar group of friends, and pretty much all we've done is sit at the bar and drink until the place closes.

I can highly recommend it for that!

Ditto here. We ordered a bunch of apps, and cold beer and settled in for the night.

We went to Ragland Road this past Saturday Night. We arrived around 9. we sat at the bar, had some great appetizers/snacks (fried scallops & fried sausages) which were really good and enjoyed the entertainment. We had no intention of staying til closing but food drink entertainment and atmosphere were so good we did. Had a great time!

There is a live band that starts playing after 8PM. It's a great, two-person band that plays traditional Celtic music.

The mixed drinks, appetizers, and desserts are very good. Haven't had actual dinner or lunch there, though.

Bongo's does a great Cuban sandwich and good black beans and rice. They don't serve the sandwich for dinner, so do lunch.

Raglan Road pulls a good Guinness (but our local does it better) and the appetizers are its strength. The food (entrees) is inconsistent and not necessarily that good at it's best (don't get the fish and chips-go to Cooke's for that).

Drinks, appetizers and maybe even mighty CRAIC? Yep. Dinner? Nah. Give it a miss.

That is really funny you mentioned that.

This past year, we had ressies for Wednesday night; decided to go over and check it out on Tuesday night.

We loved our apps and beer at the bar on Tuesday; were less than thrilled with our entrees on Wednesday.....

Raglan is the one place on our MUST do list.
We love the food, music and just all around feel of the place.
We have ordered different things different times and it's all been good. I can't remember off the top of my head what we had. I just remember it was one of the places we liked. In fact, today is my 180 day window, and I made an ADR for mom and myself.
I can not comment about Bongos since we haven't been there.
Good luck making a decision.

Yeah...don't go to Bongos. They've had a few citations from the health department, from what I remember when I used to live in Orlando.

Raglan is...good. Let's just say that compared to restaurants you may eat at around your home, it's probably bordering on great, but compared to a lot of the restaurants at Disney, it's average. Paradiso 37 is better IMO.

Fantastic! DH and I went in November of 08, and the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was unmatched. We went for lunch, but it was so awesome! I agree that is it underrated!

Well-it's essentially Irish Pub Grub. Portions are small, Fish and Chips especially so. The stew was good and also the bread puding. Most likely it's the bar and the entertainment that really keep the place going.
Paridiso37 is a good alternative.

We've been to dinner twice and enjoyed it each time. We had great service and the food was good.
We very much enjoyed the live band and the Irish step dancer. It was a fun evening and I look forward to going again

We tried Raglan Road for the first time last year and loved it. We all enjoyed our entrees and the Bread Pudding is almost as good as the dessert at 'Ohana, which is high praise indeed. I am a real fan of butter on my bread but the Guinness reduction that they serve with the bread is amazing.

We have already booked a return visit for our trip in August.

One of my favorite meals of my last trip. My best friend and I started with Dankley Duo. Great. Unique tasting and amazing. I had the ham. I absolutely love any type of ham, and the sauce that they use is totally different than I have ever had, and I loved every bite of it. Then there is the bread pudding. AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING...we ordered the port that is recommended with it and I still dream of that port wine and the pudding. (Drooling as I'm typing). I will be going back during our next trip in October.

So It sounds like a great place for In between meal,or a quick snack!. Me and my DS can split a meal.

Here are some pics of the food at Raglen Road
