So I'm already booked at Anaheim Desert Inn in their basic suite for $90/night. But I was goofing off online and found PPH for $100/night in their standard room. A standard room would be a tight fit for my family, but we've never done PPH. I'd love to stay onsite, but my question is, does PPH have any actually Disney ambiance? I've been through DLH and GCH when eating at Storytellers & Goofy's, but have never set foot in PPH.

Also, can anyone tell me what the resort fee is at PPH? How much over the $100/night should I expect to pay if I switched?

Thanks! :goodvibes

Well, when you walk in the doors the first thing you see if Goofy with a surfboard....yes the PPH has Disney ambiance, I really liked it there. Our rooms had Mickey, the toiletries were in cute Mickey head bottles, we thought it was great.

For $10 a night I'd go with PPH in a second! The resort fee, I can't remember because it was almost 2 years ago that I stayed there, but it wasn't too bad, I want to say $12 a day but that could be wrong.....

I agree with pixiewings71, for an extra $10 per night I'd definitely stay at PPH. We stayed there in May and we really loved it. The lobby is very "disney" and our room had a great Micky lamp and the mouse ear toiletries. I'm pretty sure the resort fee was $12 - I'm at work or I'd check my paperwork.

We just loved this hotel!! If you switch to PPH ask for a room on the pool deck - they are great!

Thanks for the reviews. I went ahead and booked it. First time on site. :woohoo: It came to $1060 for 5 nights and 2 5-day parkhoppers (1 adult, 1 child), all fees included. That's a smokin' deal! I'm so excited!

That sounds awesome! There are some great deals right now. I just saved over 50% at PPH by switching my ressie to the fall getaway promotion. Can't wait!:cool1:

Did you book through Expedia?? I also got the $100/night rate for October through Expedia and I understood that the $12/night resort fee was NOT included, and that you would need to pay that upon check-in?

Sorry to hijack your thread. I was wondering if the rooms at the PPH are bigger than the DLH? Thanks.

We have now spent 1 night in all 3 DLR hotels ~ PPH is #2 for me (DLH is #1) you actually have more space at PP ~ we had 3 As (me, my mom & my Gma) and 2 C (my 2 kids) in a room ~ I slept on the couch bed (quite comfortably) and each kids slept with on of the Gmas. It's #2 only because the DLH seems more "Disney". GCH ~ too $$$, anybody can visit the lobby/Great Hall and they should but no need to stay in a room.

Have fun @ PP!

I did not. I booked directly through WDTC b/c I wanted to have it noted that we were celebrating a birthday as well as requesting a room with a daybed. But I did read on another site that it was $16/day for the resort fee. When you book with WDTC, it's all included up front. Through other sites the resort fees are due at check-in (or out, can't recall... but you don't pay them initially).

Does anyone know if PPH has small refrigerators in the room? I can't seem to find that info anywhere. :confused3

The PPH rooms I've been in had fridges, I think.

If you book a package, the resort fee is included. If you book hotel only, the resort fee (plus tax on it, plus tax on the room) is what comes above the base rate given on the site. So the hotel-only 100/night becomes about 115 with the 15% tax, and then it's about 12 plus 15% tax each night for the resort fee and its tax, on top of the 115.

I'm certain that all of the couches in the PPH rooms turn into daybeds. Our last stay, in June, has pictures of the couch being turned into a bed. It does it in a really funky way, and that was our THIRD stay at PPH when I *finally* figured out how to do it. I knew they could, I just couldn't figure out how.

What about wifi? Is it free?[/QUOTE]

Not to be picky, but internet access isn't really free. You pay a $12 "Resort Fee" at the Disney hotels that includes internet as well as other things such as parking.

Congratulations on getting such a good deal! I hope you like PPH. I have heard good things. I have not stayed there myself yet, but will someday.
