Tell me about Pirates League

I'm thinking about scheduling this for my kids, DS 7 and DD will be 10. Is it worth the money? How does it work? How much time does it take out of our day? I saw that you go for your initial appointment and then come back for a parade? Help me with details please!

My daughter, son and niece did it on our last trip. I liked it better than BBB to be honest. They pick a style they want, the pirate talks to them the entire time in character. they go into a secret room after and take a picture then the room leads to ( of course) the gift shop, lol. My daughter and niece loved it. My son chickened out, they were great and they did not charge me for his appt. Which I thought was very nice. I think BBB is great for the little one and when the kids get older they want more of a older experience but are not too cool to get dressed up this is the way to go. My niece was 10, my daughter was 6 and my son was just 3 if I remember right. My purse loved it too. I think I spent around $45 for the pirates experience per kid and around $250 for BBB for just my daughter!

Our daughter did the Pirates League on our past trip. We didn't attend the parade but instead headed over to dinner at Cinderellas Royal Table. It was worth every penny. Our dd7 was made into a mermaid and we bought her the Pirates League tshirt and frilly skirt. The makeup and hair was fantastic, her cast member was right in character and the atomosphere was great. Our daughter came away with a color changing hair clip, her nails done, full face makeup, a color changing hair necklace and a pirates league sash. She also was given a small bag containing the nail polish and nail file that was used on her nails. All of this came under $80. It was a great experience.
