I'll be seeing them for the first time next week!

I've seen some photos posted here and it looks like it gets packed! Do they rush you through, or can you take your time walking around? Do they make it snow? Do they pass out hot chocolate and cookies, or is that just a MVMCP thing at the MK?

Can't wait, won't be long now! :cool1:

They do not rush you. When I went (for my first time) it was absolutely amazing. I just walked around looking at everything. The lights are awsome, and when put together with the music- it is astounding. There is snow, which adds to the effect. And there is no free snacks (or none that I know off)- I believe it is just for mvmcp.

Take as much time as you want.
It does snow.
I hear they are adding timed music - should be even more awesome!!
No free snacks - but they do have vendors selling hot chocolate in souvenir mugs.

Have fun!!! DW and I will be seeing them Christmas Eve!!!

We were there on the 13th and it was very crowded right at first. I think everyone wanted to be there to see the lights go on. You can walk around all you want until closing time. I had my little nephew with me and he thought it was wonderful that he was playing in the snow in shorts and a tee shirt. And the music is great. Don't miss it.

you will be herded through like cattle untill the crowd thins out .do not drop anything or try to stop to take a picture till the crowd spreds out you will be stampeded.im not kidding its a laugh hang on to your kids if you lose them good luck .weve do it 3 times and each time the same.once you spred out its fine.

We were there last week, and it was not too crowded. The lights that danced were fun to watch.

We saw them for the 1st time last Friday and it was great. No one pushed us through - everyone just hung out and enjoyed the lights.

We were there Friday too! :) Arrived right before 6. Enjoyed the new synchronized light show and music. This was a highlight of our trip.

We were not pushed or herded at all. We went all around the area several times, took lots of pictures. They walk around and sell Hot Chocolate. The way the lights are set up now (as compared to several yrs ago) is much easier for seeing, and not having to walk in a herd. You CAN stand still and enjoy it. Crowds do thin out after a few minutes.

I went for the first time last year. It's my idea of heaven!! I didn't feel rushed or anything else. It's this huge street you walk down. It's a Christmas sensory overload!
There's so many details in every window, stairstep, doorway........truly amazing.
