We have never dined there, but are thinking about it for our upcoming trip. Thanks for your input!

Although Kona Cafe is our favorite rest. in this category, we ate for the first time at Olivias' and it was very very good. I would highly recommend eating there. The food and service were both good. We were staying at a different hotel but after dinner took the boat to downtown disney and this was a great way to walk off dinner.

Have a great time.

Linda

We were at OKW for our last stay, and ate at Olivias twice: once for lunch, once for dinner. Both were unplanned; lunch was walk-up, dinner was call-for-ADR-15-minutes-before-walking-over.

Food was quite good. Nothing daring or adventurous, but a healthy step above "comfort". Very pleasant atmosphere, and having owners' family pictures on the walls we thought was a really neat touch. Good service both times, though I suspect the fact that the place was half-empty helped.

I had the blackened grouper for lunch, and on my server's recommendation, the NY Strip with a side of asparagus for dinner. Both were very good.

I had a wonderful quiet time, only mom breakfast there on our last day. my dd wanted to do the fishing excursion, so i dropped her off, and asked the front desk where i could sit and get something to eat where i wouldn't be bothered for about an hour until she was done. they found me a paper to read (after 8 days of not reading a paper, it was great), the waitress was really sweet and understood that i just wanted to eat breakfast, read the paper, and not hear the word mom. it was a wonderfully relaxing breakfast, i will be going again, since now both girls want to do the fishing excursion this time. I highly recommend their breakfast potatoes with the breakfast!!

We've had a couple of meals there. I think it's fine when we are staying at OKW; I do not think the food is special enough to travel to OKW just to eat there.

horrible food, snobby servers. Worst meal we had in both our trips. The only positive thing I can say is my DH loved the bread (some kind of pineapple bread.. I hated it). I was never treated more snotty while at WDW then I did at this place. I couldn't even tell you what I had but I remember it was very dry. To each it's own but i personally would avoid this place.

EEK! :scared1:

We ate there twice for lunch on our trip in October because we were staying at OKW and didn't want to travel far to eat. While we thought the food was good, we thought the service was ridiculous. VERY slow even though it wasn't busy. The servers also seemed to be off their game as in they didn't care.

I've only had breakfast there. We sat outside which was lovely and had a nice
Mimosa which was lovelier and the food was yummy. I give it two:thumbsup2

We ate there in February for the first time. We have grown bored of some of our favorites (esp. Kona Cafe--sorry). We were one of 3 parties eating an early dinner. Service was great and the food very good. My husband commented that it was the "hotest" meal he had had all week. He had a steak and said it was perfect. I had the pasta shrimp dish and it was very good. We will go back again. Our server checked on us many times to see if we needed anything.

Olivia's is one of Disney's best restaurants, IMHO. We've been dining there for many years now, and the food is consistently VERY good. We've always had great servers. Also, I am a picky eater, and the chef at Olivia's has always been able to accomodate my pain-in-the-butt requests (extra this, light on that, etc). I always appreciate that.

The thing that is very interesting about Olivia's is that you see the same servers there, year after year.

Though I have not been my parents took DD (11) and the rest of the family and they all loved it. Enough that they said they wouldn't hesitate to eat there again next time.
And these are people who ate out at least once a day for 3 months while the house was being renovated .. so they are hard to please restaurant wise.
:)

On my last trip, we stayed at OKW, and ate at Olivia's once cause we were tired, and didnt want to take the trip all the way back to the park for our planned ADR, and we were very happy with the place. Food was good (not amazing), but tasted good. Nothing daring or really special, but tastey none the less. I would certainly go back to eat there again.

It sounds like we should give it a go! How is the atmosphere?

This is where I've had one of my best meals. Loved the pineapple bread and had Buffalo chicken soup as an appetizer. For my entree I had the Caribbean Barbeque grouper. :goodvibes My son had a steak and it was perfect as well as he loved the potatoes the way they were made. We weren't staying here, but decided to take a trip over there and so glad we did as it was very much worth it. Nice open not too busy restaurant. :goodvibes

I have eaten at Olivia's 3 times in the past year(2 separate trips) and have really loved it! I am the "fussy,:sad2: send it back,I wish I had ordered that instead of this" person in the family too. There was NONE of that here! :flower3: Since I found something I enjoyed,:yay: Key Lime-Mojo Roasted Chicken Breast - with cilantro pesto and asparagus served over jasmine rice, that's what I got each time. Others in my party ordered different things and loved them as well.
Servers were great, food was hot and there was never a wait to be seated. I say..go for it! We'll be back in mid August and at least one meal will be had at Olivia's!:flower1:
