Tell me about Norwegian Fjords (or Europe in general) with a toddler!

Hi everyone!! We just booked the Sept 2022 Norwegian Fjords.. Our daughter will turn 3 midway through the cruise. We chose this one because we figured it would be scenic without getting off the ship and that if we miss a port it won't break our heart as much as Greece would.

Anyone taken their toddler on this cruise and have any advice?

Went on fjords cruise but not with toddler-but had 3 of them. If your toddler can use a hiking backpack, you can do a lot of fun walking around things. And Definitely take at least an umbrella stroller. Even if your child doesn’t typically still use one.

Great advice! We have a year and a half to get her prepped for this sort of travel so we can work on using a backpack while in the theme parks!

We did the fjords cruise but not with a toddler. It is very scenic so get a balcony if you can so at least you can sit outside.

We saw a couple with an umbrella stroller and that poor child was bumping up and down due to the cobblestones everywhere!!! Haha! You may want a sturdier stroller. Disney does have some available but I don’t know anything about getting one.

You can always get off in the ports. Bergen had a wonderful fish market and there were a few families looking at all the fish with their kids. I believe Alesund has a good aquarium, too.

We always find it fun to just get off and get a gelato or coffee and head to a nearby park.

If you decide to do any excursions, just keep an eye on how long they are and how much time is spent sitting on the bus.
