Lunchtime. What's good? Since this resturant doesn't seem very popular, do you think DH and I might get in for lunch in late September without ADRs? The reason I'm thinking of it is because DH travels to China on business quite often. So I'm wondering, how authentic is it?

I've never eaten at that particular restaurant in Epcot, but I have in lots of other restaurants in WDW and I feel pretty safe in saying that everything is Americanized to some degree.

Try making an ADR if you can get one, you could always cancel it later.

We have always enjoyed Nine Dragons. One time a family next to us complained the whole meal and advised us not to get the ginger ice cream for dessert. So, of course we had to order it and thought it was delicious.

We went there back in September. I loved it! I had some honey chicken dish that was fabulous. DH had general's chicken, but didn't really care for it. I have no idea how authentic it is, it's similar to other Chinese food I've eaten in my hometown, so probably not very authentic. LOL

I'm fairly certain you'll be able to get a table without an ADR. We've had lunch there on several occasions and the restaurant is never more than 1/3 full.

The food is mostly Americanized but you'll find a few authentic dishes. We've always enjoyed our meals there...

It is an easy place to get into. We've been there 3 times and never had an ADR. The food is pretty good too.:goodvibes

Well, we got into Le Cellier last year without an ADR by going for lunch right when they opened...so I feel pretty safe in saying that you should be able to get into Nine Dragons! :)

We enjoyed Nine Dragons. The general's chicken dumplings app is good, and I got the honey chicken which I really enjoyed. The blackberry jasmine tea tasted like I was drinking a flower, didn't really care for it. DH liked his entree but I don't remember what it was...something beef.

Pretty much this. We usually dine at Nine Dragon's once every trip for lunch, and we usually travel around the same time of year as you're going and we've never seen the place remotely full.

Few pics from my last trip

Shrimp and Taro Lollipops - fun and tasted ok, but beware, they may look big on the outside but they're essentially hollow inside ;)

Honey Sesame Chicken - I'm boring, I nearly always have this as it's yummy!

Nine Dragons Fried Rice - other half nearly always has this too, we're creatures of habit :rotfl:

Hope that helps! :)
