Tell me about Nemo

We did Nemo on our last trip. I would totally skip it this trip except that my friend hasn't been to the park for like 25 years so I don't want her to miss out on anything. The teenagers were not overly impressed and did not ask to ride it again even with having caught a shorter line during early entry.

That said, it's cute and worth doing at least once.

I went on the ride back in the 70's as a small kid, so I have a bit of nostalgia when it comes to riding Nemo. I remembered it vividly as a kid and it's a favorite of mine today. We make sure to ride it at least once every trip, but get there early to get it out of the way.

My 2 Nemo tips:

1. If your party can stay until closing: ride it last thing.
As long as you are in line when the park closes, you will be able to ride. So, hop in line 10 minutes before the park closes and know that your time in line is not valuable time that you could be spending elsewhere (well, except shopping on Main Street).

2. If you are large, tall, claustrophobic, unable to do stairs, or any other reason you can't/don't want to go down into the sub, ask the CM for the observation room. It is the exact same experience, just not down in a sub.

I wasn't too impressed with the Nemo sub ride. It was cute, but probably not something I'd go on again. I'd rather head straight to Peter Pan on Magic Mornings.

Hi all, I think my kids may enjoy riding Nemo, but I rarely see any posts about this ride.

Is this ride considered a must ride for most.. are the lines long during rope drop? Is this something you'd head to first, possibly missing out on fastpasses?

Tell me anything and everything you know about the ride.

Me personally, I like Nemo but don't like the Nemo ride and I will never ride it again! It literally gave me a panic attack. This ride is NOT for people who are easily claustrophobic Everytime we saw the ride there was always a 30 minute wait or more. I would say if you've never rode it, go ahead and ride it just to experience it. Another thing is, we rode it at night so maybe that's why the lines were not that long. Like I said before I will NEVER ride it again, but I will more then happy to wait behind so anyone else in my family can ride it if they want to. Just don't make me ride it again!

I did not know that at all!!! Thanks for posting that. DH felt real claustrophic and told us he is not going back on Nemo anytime soon. This is a great alternative!!

I love nemo, and I loved the subs as a kid. So I really liked the ride. However it was the only ride in the park my 9 year old DS fell asleep on both times. ANd he is a nemo fan. My DH really likes Nemo but said we have to skip it next time because he caught himself falling asleep as well. Not at all worth a wait longer than 15 minutes imo.

I agree with this.

With small kids, it's worth doing, but I wouldn't waste a MM or the first 2 hours of ANY day on Nemo. (since the first two hours can be more efficeintly spent riding slow loading rides & collecting FPs)

If i had to ride it again, I'd probably try it during the afternoon, during a parade or when i needed a break & didn't mind a 20-40 min. line. (since I'm normally unable to stay up past 10-10:30pm to ride it late.)
