Tell me about Narcossees.

we love narcoosees!!!

crabcakes, lobster, almond crusted cheesecake - heaven!!!

DSIL & I love lobster the others don't but this seems to be the only place for a whole lobster theothers would like the filet is it still worth the 2TS for all of us and what comes with the lobster I see broccoli but is there anything else??

You also get a potatoe gratin type of thing, you see it there in the middle (the brown/cream coloured thing), it was also very good!

We went there for our honeymoon 2 yrs ago and man do they know how to spoil ya!! They knew we were there on our hm and they had custom printed menus for us to take with us when we left.. as if that wasn't enough they brought us champagne and strawberries right after we sat down and after dinner they treated us to a warm chocolate lava cake with ice cream and the chef had congratulations spelled out in cocoa!! The food there is amazing and the service is wonderful.. the best part for us was getting to see the water parade right in front of us while sitting on the porch there! Definitely a MM!!:wizard:

Narcoossee's is one of our favorite restaurants. We have enjoyed it during the last two trips and love going there. We have never had either bad service or food.

It is a very fancy, upscale restaurant, but I think your child should be fine as long as she knows how to entertain herself. The electrical water pageant that goes by at night plus Wishes pumped into the restaurant might also help. ;)

There are no restrictions on the Disney dining plans. We have done them for years. Order what you want from the menus and enjoy! :)

We do it 2x on our trip, as its my favorite. As far as being kid friendly, my feeling is, "it's Disney so you better be kid friendly or make it well known that it is not. Maybe no kids menu and chenge the name to "Kids Not Welcome", "Adults Only", or something like that. But everytiem I have been there with my DD's, 2-4-6, there have been no problems.

That lobster looks sooooo good! Thank you for the reviews.
My daughter picked Narcoossee's for her birthday dinner. She doesn't like seafood but liked the restaurant itself. I'm looking forward to it myself. It will be our first time eating there.

What time does the boat parade take place?

What time should you make an ADR in order to catch Wishes around dessert time? We are going in December.

We had an 8:30 adr and we had just ordered dessert when the fireworks started, so it was a good time b/c it was a break and we could go outside and see the fireworks.

So the fireworks aren't any earlier in Dec then the rest of the year?

Can someone tell me about Narcossees ?
How kid friendly is it? About how long should we plan to be there ?
We will be on the dining plan, is it worth 2 ts credits and can we order anything off the menu including surf and turf?
Please share your experiences. Thank you.

Our review with pics is here. I don't think our experience is the norm--at least I hope it isn't. :)

Our visit was almost 2 1/2 hours and we still didn't get dessert there (got it to go), but I think that was the result of a poor server.

Our kids are older but there were lots of younger ones there and they seemed to be accomodated just fine.

Does the whole lobster come with the tail or is it just the claws? I don't think I see the tail in the above photo, but I could be missing it (or it might have been eaten already).

I'm so torn. I LOVE lobster, but for $50, I want more than just a boiled or steamed lobster, KWIM? I'm from MA, so lobster is right at my fingertips. We've been to very nice Maine restaurants that are right on the water and paid $50 for a baked stuffed lobster FULL of seafood stuffing.

I might have to go for the surf and turf because it seems like such a waste of 2 credits on just a lobster.

Does anyone know if you can get the lobster whole and not split as that is how DSIL wants it!!

For you the surf and turf or even just the turf sounds like the best bet (since you can get great lobster when you want it). For ME the Lobster is the best because I am from Kansas and that turf is my normal. Either way Narcossees is wonderful.

DH and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Narcoossee's!!!!! We celebrated my birthday there in '07 and the entire experience was phenomenal! DH and I both had the filet and it was cooked perfectly to our liking and the flavor was out of this world! But, all of that is just blah blah blah compared to dessert! I know you've heard it a million times, but the almond crusted cheesecake is worth the 2 TS credits in itself!!!! In fact, on our upcoming September trip, DD7 and DS5 will not be given dessert options - they will be forced to order the cheesecake! :lmao: Needless to say, it is our favorite TS and are counting the days until we get to eat there again! Here is a pic of THE dessert!

Oh, and that banner in the background is airbrushed edible white chocolate! (We didn't eat it - our server graciously informed us ahead of time that it was unsweetened chocolate and not very "chocolaty". LOL)

Can someone say a little more on the dress code?

We are going for our anniversary dinner and I'm in the process of trying to pack... I'm planning on a nice top, nice/dressy bermuda black shorts and come cute black/white polka dot flip flops. DH is wearing beige linen shorts and probably a polo/golf shirt (untucked) with flip flops.

Is this ok? Or we should axe the flips flops and go for nicer shoes?

Thanks!
Stacie

I saw a lady in flip flops when we were there 2 weeks ago, it should be fine!
