Tell me about Marriott Cypress Harbor

We are going to Disney in August and a friend offered to rent us his Marriott week for a good price (under $73/night). We will be staying at Marriott Cypress Harbor resort. I've browsed the website and it looks beautiful. I'm wondering if any of you have stayed there (or own there) and if there is anything we need to know to get the most out of our stay. Anything special we need to bring that we might not think of? We rent timeshares, condos and pool homes every year so we know the routine.

Since we are renting from an owner, we won't be required to attend the timeshare presentation but I'm wondering what they typically pay those who do attend. We'd be willing to do the presentation if they make it worth our while. We did the DVC presentation last year for $45 and free ice cream. Can anyone who has gone recently tell me what they got?

only attend them when offer more than a $100. don't think the marriotts offer that much any longer.

loved it.

all were 2-bedrooms - the pools were not close as I would have liked them.

and this place has those speed breakers - WHICH I HATE.

other than that it was just fine.

Cypress Harbour is a really nice resort. There's nothing that you'd need to take with you that you wouldn't take to other timeshare resorts.

I'd suggest that you take a look at the resort map at http://www.marriottvacationclub.com...resorts/marriott-cypress-harbour/pdfs/map.pdf to determine where, within the resort, you might like to stay. Then call - 407.238.1300 - or email - Cypressharbour.Ram@vacationclub.com - the resort with your location request (building, high floor/low floor, near elevator/at end of building, etc.) two or three weeks before your check-in date.

Despite several stays at Cypress Harbour we've intentionally ignored the sales presentation pitches - unlikely that they could pay me enough to disrupt my vacation for even the purportedly low-pressure Marriott sales pitch - so I can't give you any information about them.
