Tell me about Manheim Steamroller, please

They will be plaing when we are at USF. Could someone please tell me how they were, how long the performance is, and where to watch it. Can we sit?

They play on the outdoor "main" stage under Rip Ride Rockit, same as the Mardi Gras concerts. No seating, just a grassy area surrounding the stage. It's a full concert, at least an hour, I remember it being closer to 90 minutes. It was a good show--there are three different touring Manheim Steamroller groups, but I saw the one with founder Chip Davis so I considered it the "official" group. Very Christmasy, obviously, but fits the season and the decor.

I saw a majority of their shows at USF last year and a lot of the times, people sat down. People really only seemed to stand if they were off to the side or in the back.

I am so glad that we'll be able to sit. After a full day at USF I will be ready to rest my legs. Is it a good concert? Worth watching all of it or just part of it?

Yeah...these seem to be the only shows where people sit. They certainly don't sit during the Mardi Gras and summer concerts.

To stress, it's sitting on (fake) grass or concrete-there are no chairs or benches. The one time I went for a full show it was unseasonably cold, didn't see anybody sitting.

Whether you want to see the full show depends on your tolerance for Christmas music. It can get a bit repetitive, but if you're in the mood for it, it's a good show.
