Tell me about Legoland Hotel!

We are thinking about staying one night at Legoland hotel before we move on to Disney World. The prices are higher than I expected-are there ever any specials or discounts? Also my daughter wants to stay in a Lego Friends room, of course these rooms are about $100 more than the other room options. Any thoughts on why they are more expensive? Worth the extra cost? Appreciate any tips or advice about the hotel. Thanks!

I have never stayed there but I have seen the hotel during a visit to Legoland. You can also do a search and see if you can find anything. I remember having this conversation not long ago on the board. The hotel is cheaper when the park is closed. Otherwise the room rates are amazingly high. I haven't seen the inside of the hotel but the outside is small to me compared to a regular hotel or Disney resort. The pool is also mediocre. I bet the rooms are awesome though!
