What parks should we go to on which days? I SO want to do MK on Monday, but I've heard Monday isn't a good day for MK. I want to MK on our last day, Saturday, but I've heard MK isn't good on Saturdays. I would love to bookend our trip with MK, but I know that's probably not the best method.

Any ideas?

Oops! Sorry about the icons there! The three year old got on while I stepped away from the computer.

We love, love, LOVE that week. Very quiet after all the Thanksgiving week crowds leave and the holiday decorations are up! Plus they'll have Mickey's Christmas Party then AND it's before the cheerleaders arrive (NOTHING against cheerleaders, just making a scheduling point!). If we're able to go back by the end of the year, that week is on the top of our list.

Cheerleaders in December??? We narrowly dodged them in Feb and would like to do so again. Can you give me more info, esp dates?

Cant wait to go! I hear its the best time to go, even tho, the people that work in DIS says its one of their busiest times.

It's a very popular time for DVC members to go, since it is in low point season, the resorts/parks are all decorated for the holidays, you can go to MVMCP...and my birthday is the 8th of December, so I think a lot of folks go to help me celebrate that :earboy2:

We arrived in WDW on Thanksgiving Day last year. Didn't go to a park until the day after. It was really the most crowded I have ever seen it. But, since I have only been in late Oct/early Nov and mid August, I wasn't surprised it would be more crowded.
By Sunday the crowds did start to diminish. We left on Wed, Dec 1. I would have killed to have been able to stay through the week. By the time we left the parks were really wonderful!!! No big crowds at all. I think you will find that week to be really nice. The weather was wonderful, the holiday decorations were beautiful.

As far as any cheerleaders/football players/dancers go...we were there with them in Dec '03. We stayed at AllStarMu with them also. I never had an issue with the kids. They weren't evident in the parks very much, especially during the day, until their last week-end. I wouldn't worry too much about the kids being there or not. I certainly wouldn't change my plans based on them.

We went the week after Thanksgiving last year and loved it!
We liked it so much we are going again this year at the same time. Weather was great, lines not to long and the bonus of the Christmas decorations.

So which parks for which days? Would it be not really a problem to go to MK on Monday since the crowds are generally lighter?

:earsgirl:

We go the 2nd week of December and the crowds are so light that we have never felt a need to pick a certain park for a certain day.

We do try to be on hand at park opening, but that is mainly because the hours are shorter in December, and because there is a certain excitement about walking into the park when it is just open and the streets are empty....

Anyway, the only time we specifically choose a particular park for a particular day is the day we go to the Christmas Party. We go to MK that day, so we don't get caught up in the crowds arriving just for the party.
