We are looking to do a budget trip this June with the inlaws. We stayed in Windsor Palms two years ago and LOVED it, but we were looking to try to save a bit of money this time around. I have been seeing pool homes (looking for a 4 BR) in Indian Creek for a few hundred less than in WP.

What can you tell me about the development? It's fairly close to WP, right? Are there amenities at Indian Creek? We never used the pool or clubhouse at WP, as the kids just loved the pool at the house.

Tell me what you can!

Indian Creek is just before you get to WP. Some of the pool houses only have a wall separating them from one another. It's not gated at all.
Indian Creek is divided into 2 sections because of the 429 toll road. The first section that you drive into is older than the section across the overpass. There's a small playground, a couple of tennis courts and a sports field .
The house we stayed in was in the first section and it was ok, showing a little wear but nothing serious. I think it all depends on the owner and how much he spends on upkeep. The homes in the first section were built around 2000 and the other section 2003 ish.
We had no problems while staying there, everything looked good. Some of the homes that were for sale could have used a little TLC but no big deal.
On this map Indian Creek is #11 and Windsor Palms is #13

We are also looking at homes in Indian Creek and Rolling Hills for a quick summer trip. These two communities are literally right next door to Windsor Hills, and the savings in price is substantial.

I asked my kids how they felt about going to Orlando but not having the community pool at Windsor Hills. They didn't care since all the homes I'm considering have an in ground pool and game room.

Good luck with your search!

We've stayed in both Rolling Hills and Indian Creek. Both are excellent locations and if you shop around there are great deals to be had in both locations.
In Rolling Hills we overlooked a pond that attracted all kinds of birds.
Rolling Hills seems to have larger homes, but for us, it's the set-up that matters (how many beds/baths, what size beds).
We think you will be happy in either location and yes, you can save hundreds per week.

We stayed at Indian creek this past Nov. and loved it We stayed at Happiness house but the owner does have 4 other homes in IC as well http://www.houseforrentflorida.net/en/index.php

I actually saw your review on VRBO! When I saw Alburtis, PA, I figured it had to be you. They are booked the dates we would be going. But thank you for mentioning they have other homes. Something to consider!!!!

We are actually staying in the American Sports House this October as Happiness House was booked! I know not all the calendars are updated so if you're interested in one of their places I'd contact them right away. :goodvibes

Indian Creek is in a great area. The first home we rented was in Indian Ridge Oakes. It is the Formosa Gardens area West off 192.

Minutes to teh parks, I4, grocer, restaurants, doc in a box, packy and mini golf.

You will find everything you need within 15 minutes.
