We are going in January, me, DB, DSIL and two nephews, 8 and 9. I have been thinking of doing this and it looks like we will be able to do it this time. We will have DDP. I understand it takes 2 TS per person and that is fine.

1 - Where is it located?

2 - What seating catagory should we be looking for?

3 - Since I have DDP will I have to pay anything up front for the reservation? I had read on some very early threads that people had to do this and were credited back when they showe up.

4 - What are the times for the showings?

Thanks everyone.

1 - Where is it located?HDDR is at Fort Wilderness, just a short boat ride from MK.

2 - What seating catagory should we be looking for?You will get Cat 2 or 3 for 5 or 7:15 shows according to how early you book. For Cat 1 you would pay oop except for 9:30 show.

3 - Since I have DDP will I have to pay anything up front for the reservation? I had read on some very early threads that people had to do this and were credited back when they showe up.With ddp, they use your cc number to hold your ressie, but not charge is made unless you're a noshow.

4 - What are the times for the showings?5, 7:15 and 9:30

Thanks everyone.
HDDR is the best show ever.

3. If you have your dining plan already booked with your vacation, then you won't have to pay but you will require a credit card to hold the reservation. The people who have to pay up front usually go ahead and make their ADRs before booking the vacation package (while waiting for free dining or some other promotion) I have done this several times.......book my ADRs in Feb but hold off on my vacation booking and in this case I did have to pay up front and be reimbursed on arrival - the concierge at your resort can do this.

You will have a wonderful time. I have never seen my kids laugh so hard before. We have done it twice over the last 3 trips. Enjoy!

1. Ft. Wilderness. The easiest way there is to take a boat from MK to Ft. Wilderness and the theater is a short easy walk from there.

2. The best seats, IMO, is the Cat. 2 seats that are in the balcony, center stage. However, there is no way to make sure that if you got Cat. 2 that those would be your seats. We usually just go with Cat. 3 seating. Cat. 1 is nice but is not included on the DDP for the first 2 shows (it is for the third show). Cat. 2 if you don't end up in the balcony you end up in the back on the floor which can lead to some obstructed views. We happen to really like the Cat. 3 seating up in the balcony on the sides.

3. I have read in some places that people were able to arrange to use credits over the phone without using their CC. In other instances, people use their CC and just get a refund when they pick up their tickets from their resorts conceierge.

4. 5, 7:15 and 9:30. After the 7:15 and 9:30 shows there will be buses outside to take you directly back to your resort.

Just as a side note, people have had a hard time booking HDDR for dates starting in about mid-November. This has been the case with trying to book online or on the phone. If it is still a problem when your 180 day mark comes up, don't give up.

If you go to the 9:30 show on the dining plan you can get category 1 seating. All other shows are cat. 2 or 3 on the DDP.

It's a great show...go check it out!

Do any of you know how far in advance you can get HDD tickets? The website only books through Septemeber... We are booked for December.

I had to call 407-WDW-DINE for my HDDR reservation. I also found this on the WDW website: *Please note, this dining event can be booked online through October 16, 2011, pending availability. If you are arriving after that date and would like to make a reservation, please call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 up to 180 days prior to your visit, or continue to explore Disneyworld.com/dine for alternative dining options.

I saw in another post that you might not fully understand the ADR policy. If you're staying at a Disney resort, you also can call (or log on with your resort confirmation #) on your 180th day & make ADRs for your check-in day & the following 10 days. (If you already knew that, then I apologize for making the assumption that you were unaware.) Have a great trip!!!
