We are planning our trip to WDW for October.

We are thinking of Hollywood & Vine. We have never ate there, would like to try something new.
I checked out the menu but I don't see a lot of vegetarian offerings?

How is the food over all and is there a lot of vegetarian offerings besides mashed potatoes ;)

I am an ovo lacto vegetarian and the last time I ate at H&V for their dinner buffet was December 2003. Though I cannot remember exactly what I had to eat, I do clearly remember being very disappointed in the selections.

Hopefully someone who has eaten there more recently will be able to give you more info. But I do know that it will be quite some time before I go back.

If you're looking for a Fantasmic Dinner package restaurant, as a vegetarian I'd suggest Mama Melrose. We LOVE it there!

DD 9 is a vegetarian (eats eggs & dairy, though) and found plenty to eat, but I don't think grown-ups would be as pleased. I recall even a couple of the vegetable dishes being seasoned with bacon, and there was maybe one pasta without meat. There were very good breads, but not a lot of choices for salads and entrees without meat (good fish, though, if you're a "flexitarian"). If it were me, I'd go to a sit-down place where I could order one very good dish, rather than spend so much on this buffet knowing my choices would be so limited.

Thanks for the replies. That is too bad to hear they don't have a whole lot to offer.

We do have ADRs at Mama Melroses, but I just am not 100% sure about them.
Yes, it is for the Fantasmic Dinner package.
I have heard they have a limited menu and I worry about not finding anything on there. I am not that picky, but I don't like eggplant or black olives ;)

I guess we will stick with Mama's. If nothing else I will fill up on the flatbreads!

We were pleasantly suprised with MM last trip -- It was the first time DH and I ate here. We cannot wait to go back. They have great salads and flatbreads. The tomato mozzarella appetizer was yummy, too. Loved it!

Good luck!
