we ate at the cafe in november - the food and service was great...we had pasta, steak and seafood (there were 6 adults) - i would recommend it! check out their menu at allears.com
We went there in June for the first time. Wasnt overly impressed, probably would not go back. Horrific service and average food, we found ourselves wishing we had gone to Le Cellier instead.
We had dinner there in last April, and found it very good...quite the opposite of some other people. The service was great (albeit a tad slow), and the food was excellent. Absolutely no wait once we reached the podium for our ADR's. My only advice would be to avoid the pasta dish, unless you enjoy really rich cream sauces...this one was a tad heavy for my daughters taste.
We were visiting MK that day, so it was very nice to get out of the park for a little bit, and enjoy a quieter dinner. We took the boat over instead of the monorail, so it was very peaceful and enjoyable.
While Kona is my favorite of all the places to eat near the MK, I would return to the GF Cafe again...and I consider that a decent compliment.
We had dinner there in April. We did not have ADR's and got seated immediately. We thought the food was very good and service was good (a little slow but very thorough). It is a beautiful resort and restaurant but not too nice to take a little one to. I highly recommend it!
Thanks for asking this question and I am delighted with the replies! I booked a GF lunch (served in Citricos'). We'll get an early start that day so I thought a nice cool lunch would be in order. Sounds like we'll have an awesome time!
Thanks for the reminder about the boat from MK. We'll definitely take it to GF. It will be another "ride" for our little one!
