Tell me about Garden Grocer

Not sure where to post this, but I would love some info on Garden Grocer. When do you place your order, and how do you pick it up? Do they leave it with Bell services? We will be staying at Pop Century.

I have used GG and found it to be a great service. I placed my order about 10 days before our trip. The more time you give them the more likely you will get the date and time you want for the delivery. We were there when our items were delivered, but since you pay upfront I am sure they would also leave it with guest services at your hotel. We like to be there because they will deliver it right to your room and you won't have to mess around with dragging it to your room yourself.

I have also used wegoshop and prefer it over GG because I can create my own shopping list of specific items I want, including the brand I want. They will shop at the store you pick (Publix, Walmart, Sams)and bring you an itemized receipt, that total plus the service fee is what you pay. Your not paying preset prices.

Both services are very good and you will probably be happy with either one.

We've used gardengrocer.com at both POP and the Contemporary, and they were great. They left it with bell services--at POP, we ran into the CM delivering it to our room (nothing required refridgeration) and at CR, we called down to bell services and they brought it right up.

Do you know what store they shopped at for you? Did you list one as a preference? Were the prices cheaper than Garden Grocer? Garden Grocer had a lot of the brands I wanted but not a lot of fresh fruit choices (and the fruit is EXPENSIVE). I don't mind paying extra for food since I don't have to go get it myself, but if I can save a little cash with wegoshop then I might go with them instead.

There was a spot to indicate where you wanted them to shop, since I shop Walmart at home and know the brands/prices that's where I chose.
You can give them an exact list- brand, size, amount like 1 pound of green grapes or 4 oranges, what ever. This way you have access to every item the store carrys, not just from a list.
You pay when they deliver your order.

Thanks Bev! I appreciate the info! I like being able to get more items and I don't have to go to the "twilight zone" Walmart near DW again. That place was scary. Total mad house...
